Friends of the Library Book Sale

I FREAKING LOVE THIS BOOK SALE!!!! When I get a new calendar it's the first thing I look up and mark down. I have found literally hundreds of really good books and at prices that are unbelievable. Imo the best day is the second to last. It's dime day; every book, every single book is only ten cents. I have literally cleared entire sections. And the best book I have ever read (so far) I found there. If you are a proud reader and book aficionado then this is a must go. After one trip, you will be hooked as well!!!!

We LOVE this twice a year booksale!! Sooo much to choose from..antique/rare books record albums,games ,puzzles galore! Very reasonable prices and each day they lower the price! My favorite part of Ithaca!

Probably went a week too early; should have waited to save some money. Great for kids books, though.

A little overwhelming the first time. Maps available. Be patient, lines to get in do form. However, they limit the number of people inside at once, thus the line, to make browsing through the 10,000+ more relaxed. Take the bag they offer when you go in, you'll need it.

I try to go to the sales as often as I can... I'm sure others have covered the format; 3 weekends, first is the most "expensive" with the most expensive items still under $5, and the last weekend books are basically free (but the selection is much depleted). I always find something, and the fun of the hunt is enjoyable. The inventory is quite good if you get in on the first wave of opening day, but you usually need to be there about 1.5-2 hours before opening.
