Wegmans

I am relatively new to Ithaca and found Wegmans a great place for all kinds of groceries and food. The recent rearrangements have thrown a few blues in looking for stuff but it should be over in a short while. Overall it's a pretty unique stop for everything for Ithacans.

Wegmans is my favorite grocery store, period. I've been to several but this one is definitely the best Wegmans I've been to. I've never had a bad experience with any of their store-made fresh foods -- I love their sushi and have it at least weekly. Selection here is incredible and I'm always finding new things I want to try. The Wegmans store brand is bar none the best grocery line -- maybe only Publix even coming close. I would without hesitation buy Wegmans brand over the national brand -- it's that good! Unfortunately since it's the only Wegmans in the region, it is always busy. The parking lot is very crowded at all times, but check out lanes are rarely backed up. In general this is a quality place and THE grocery store in Ithaca.

Large location of this Rochester-based chain with cafe seating on two levels (which can be a pain to navigate) as well as full size departments offering everything from fresh vegetables and flowers to bakery sweets and savories. Unfortunately, despite the store's big footprint the parking lot is a mess, with unclear entries and exits too little room between rows for comfortable (and safe) navigation.

When I first moved to an area near Wegmans, I heard the hype and was like, "please, it's a grocery store." But I now see how wrong I was. Wegmans is sooo nice. It's literally the highlight of my week. I love the produce, I love the amazing selection, I love the cheeses. The prices are sometimes a little higher than other places, but not across the board and not if you buy family packs. The generic brand products are quality, the staff are friendly and helpful, the app and website are pretty great too. You can use them to virtually clip coupons onto your shoppers' club card so they automatically ring up at checkout and you can see all your receipts and track your purchases. Basically Wegmans is the best ever. 6 out of 5 stars.

Holy mother of variety! Found a hard to find food item here, if they are out they will order it for you. Wegmans has better prices than other stores and the store brand items are better than name brand items. Try the mousse for two from the bakery!
