French 50 Bakery

Still the best bakery in the world in my opinion. The baked goods are second to none and the service is fantastic. If there is anything to complain about it is that it's not open every day, however that just makes the experience even sweeter. If it was open every day I'd be 10 lb heavier . Get there early if you want the best selection, everything I've ever had here is amazing.

An absolute gem. If you live in town & haven’t been make it happen!! Incredible French pastries & a delicious, thoughtfully designed breakfast menu. Would recommend the drip coffee over the espresso. The food is what really shines.

We’re from Edmonton and stumbled upon this place on our recent trip to Okotoks. The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. We had the cinnamon buns, which were the best we’d ever had and the sourdough bread was incredible. I would love to come back on our next trip.

I went in expecting quality product and that is exactly what I got. And then some. My son and I stopped by and the first thing we noticed was a very good vibe. All the tables were full of customers enjoying the food and each other’s company. So far so good. But at the end of the day it’s the product that drives all this. We ended up getting some buns, white and whole wheat sourdough, raspberry scones and cruffins. That’s what was left when we were there at about noon. A decent selection considering it was an hour before closing. Oh, almost forgot to mention, I wouldn’t call myself a ‘bread expert’ but I did work as a baker for a year and I do truly appreciate good quality baked goods and can recognize lower quality product when I taste it. We shared one bun in the car along with a scone. Very tasty. When we got home we tried the sourdough. Both were very good but the white was absolutely outstanding. Perfect crust. Perfect texture. Just the right balance of flavour. Tried it plain, then with cream cheese, then with Nutella - outstanding each time. I highly recommend this place.

The mushrooms on toast was phenomenal! The herbs and goat cheese combination! And the poached eggs weren’t too runny but just right the way I like them . The sourdough is fresh and lots of mushrooms! Highly recommended!

Great local bakery with a great variety of breads. Unfortunately arriving near closing time results in a lot of items being sold out and a near-empty display case. The hours of operation are short.

Fantastic spot and concept. If you live french pastries and breads and simple tartines, then make it a destination.
