I had an appointment set up with doctor bhugra and I waited 8 months for the appointment. On appointment day I arrive 15 minutes early as instructed I get checked in, I have my vitals taken and an ECG run then I am told to wait in the waiting room for the doctor to call me in. After waiting 50 long minutes it is now my turn but instead of the doctor calling my name he whispers to the receptionist then retreats back down the hallway. The receptionist calls me up to the desk and informs me that the doctor won't see me. So I ask if there's an emergency and if it needs to be rescheduled and the response says no the doctor just refuses to see you. Goodbye! I asked for a reason why I waited 8mos +50mins just to be refused care, no response. I am tearing up, visibly upset and they just do nothing. I wasn't rude or hostile, I sat quietly and waited. I have no idea why he refused only me when he took several other patients. Seeing the bad reviews for this doctor, I feel like I dodged a bullet bit still, his behaviour is disgusting and I've filed a complaint with the College of Doctors and Physicians.
Dr. Elmayergi is wonderful, listens to your concerns and takes time to explain his thought process. Having someone who is genuinely interested in getting to the bottom of the issue feels very reassuring. The support staff was very professional as well
Sadly the receptionist was very rude to me because I had a mask exemption. She told me I should always carry proof because usually people ask for it. I kindly told her that technically they aren’t allowed to ask and she realized that was correct. Ironically me not being able to wear a mask was because it aggravates my heart condition. They wouldn’t let me come in and was told to go to my car and the dr. will call me. So, I wasn’t able to have the ECG and they didn’t check my BP. He prescribed a medication that lowers my heart rate and if they would’ve checked my vitals they would see that my heart rate is already on the lower end, some times as low as 38 to 44 at night. Now I’m trying to get a hold of them to talk to him about this and unable to get through.
All the staff was so lovely. Appointment went nice and smooth. Doctor Gusbi was awesome.
I agree with those that indicated contacting someone to speak to at this clinic is next to impossible. Today I phoned again and I was told to hold... I waited and waited and then got a busy signal. Sheesh! The reason I was calling in the first place is because I had a stress test done here. My doctor never received the results. The doctor contacted them and he was told that I never came in for one. OMG. Can you believe it? I phoned them myself and whoever answered the phone told me that they moved. The word 'professionalism" doesn't even come in to play here. I only gave one star because you have to pick one of the stars.
Apparently elevator breaks down every week they tell me, but no one can put a sign on the elevator to let people know? 'We're too busy" they said, but 4 of them can stand in the hallway and argue with me for 10 minutes about it? Yes, I was rude by that point but furious to have to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs with a heart issue and the fact that I'm not to walk up that many stairs. If I was in my 80's, you would have had a totally cooperative response I bet. A simple courtesy that would take you 2 minutes could save people much anxiety, stress, seizures, etc. If it breaks down every week, I'd think some genius might already have made an 'out of service' sign by now. Then the manager? phones me later to patronize me. Seriously? I told her I won't go there again for a monitor, so then the doctor ignores my phone appointment the following week? I should've had the monitor on through all that and they would've seen my heart rate double.
Reception is always extremely rude and immediately defensive when you bring up issues. Don't bother calling to get ahold of them, they never answer and will get mad at you for mentioning that you can never get ahold of them.
The Doctor himself was fine. One of the receptionists clearly hates her job. So cranky and even rude every time I got her. Which was extremely difficult to do as they rarely answer their phone and you are hold for ages just for them to answer and put you on hold again right away. I think I got through easier with CERB lol
The receptionist Anmol was the abusive and condescending, she lied on the first sentence when I got a hold of the clinic and blames me for “misunderstanding” what the appointment entails. Please do better
Nothing to complain about here. This place is run very efficient , professional and friendly. My experiences on the lower mainland have been less than favourable since moving here 8 years ago but with places like this coming into fruition it puts a little less angst in health issues and let's a person feel at ease. Keep it going guys.
