I grew up on Frankie’s and haven’t been there in awhile. My wife and I decided to stop and try it and wow, it was amazing. The decor is fun. I love the large over head menu. The staff were extremely attentive. I am always looking for a good Chicago dog and I’ve struggled to find one until today! Frankie’s has a great Chicago dog. Large flavorful freshly made hot dog topped with the right ingredients. I personally would have like a little more celery salt but it was still delicious! I will be back for more. We also shared a piece of pizza. A pepperoni and green olive. Great crust extremely flavorful sauce! Nice amount of toppings. Overall this has become on of our favorites!
I always wanted to try Chicago Deep Dish/Stuffed pizza. I asked around, and many people recommended Frankie's. My girlfriend and I went over and ordered their Buffalo Wings and a whole 14-inch Deep Dish/Stuffed pizza. We kept it simple with just cheese, sauce, tomatoes, spinach, and basil. You can order by the slice, but for the experience I personally want, I ordered a full pizza. 1. The wings were covered in their Buffalo sauce. The sauce was good and tangy. The chicken was soggy due to the sauce, obviously, but it was nice and moist. These were decent wings, but not the go-to. 2. The full 14-inch Chicago Deep Dish/Stuffed pizza was beautiful when it got to the table. It looked exactly like it does on TV/social media. Pulling a slice out follows a godly pull of cheese. Perfection. The sauce was not too sweet, which I prefer, because I prefer a more natural taste. It was super cheesy, which is heaven for cheese lovers like myself. Man, eating this pizza was a mess, haha. It definitely was heavy and hearty. After one slice, I was stuffed and tapped out. I am thankful for Frankie's for allowing us Minnesotans to have a chance at trying out Chicago Deep Dish/Stuffed pizza. It was really good, but personally, I prefer the classic or New York style pizza. If you want good pizza or good food in general, or want to try Chicago Deep Dish/Stuffed pizza, definitely stop by Frankie's. Their other items on their menu looks epic too.
Pizza was good, BUT, super disappointed in customer service. The gal at the counter was super unfriendly and didn’t even pretend to not hate her job. Waited forever for our pizza, and it just wasn’t worth the price. Also, my daughter’s chicken nuggets looked and tasted disgusting. BTW- I said chicken “nuggets” on your children's menu, not tenders. regardless, it was chicken on your children's menu, and it tasted microwaved. I have eaten at the New Hope location and it was much better than the Mg location both in quality and costumer service. Regardless of whether you feel the customer is right, you should respond as such and offer an apology for a poor experience. This response to my review only illustrates the poor customer service we received with in the restaurant. Also, do the environment a favor and ditch the styrofoam plates.
Gave this place another shot. The pan pizzas that I had delivered were both undercooked. Threw half of it out because it just didn't taste right. Sausage seems almost raw. I've been a cook in different restaurants all my life and I know that these are not cooked all the way. Makes me sick and it smelled funny also. Overpriced too. Will not order from here again. Update 03/29/2023. I am extremely satisfied with how my replacement pizza was delivered! Manager on phone was very nice and fixed it without any questions. Delivery driver was punctual and awesome. I appreciate Frankie's fixing this!! Thank you and I will be returning.
Delicious buffalo wings and a tasty stuffed pizza at Frankie's Chicago Style Pizza! My brother and I both thoroughly enjoyed it while on the road!
Usually, their food is great but this order was horrific. The wings were old and dried out. I am disabled I depend on delivery for food. I phoned Frankie's to tell them about the unedible wings and was told take it up with Uber Eats, who we all know how awful they are about refunds.. It was actually as if Frankie's took no responsibility for the poor quality, overcooked, extra salty, unappealing wings. Paid for priority delivery so no issuse about time to arrive as the "manager" suggested. It seems like the manager needs a course in customer service and retention. Prices are astronomical but service is minimal.
Incredible New York style pizza!!! I’ve never had better authentic NY style pizza anywhere outside New York and I’ve been comparing since 1981 when I first traveled to New York. Brian and his team treated us so well, we had to ask about the restaurant history and got to know his name. So glad we chose Frankie’s‼ Parking: Plenty of parking!! Wheelchair accessibility: Appeared to be very accessible.
Fast and friendly take out service. The restaurant was clean and social distancing guidelines were strictly followed. The take out silverware and sides are all individually wrapped which is nice. Pizza was delicious. Thick and hearty. It was filled with cheese and toppings. The crust was amazing and thick too. No need to have it well done, unless you want a crunchy crust. We will definitely take away from here again. The pasta was pretty plain flavor wise but very cheesy.
This place is nasty. We watch 2 of their workers lick the frosting from the knife and proceed to lift the cake with their bare hands and the other one went to make a pizza after licking their hands. The lady charge us 2 sodas we only ask for 1 and a bottled water. We said thank you when she delivered the pizza but no response from her bigger set lady. Pizza dough was grainy not good. We ate just the toppings and end up still hungry leaving place. Rude employees and not good food. Don't waste your time or money going here.
I was excited to try Frankies as a native Chicagoan since they claim to be Chicago style. I've been here over 25 years and have not yet found any that I would put at that level. So, yeah, I'm that guy... Don't get me started on gyros. Ordered a sausage, mushroom, and onion thin crust. They didn't put any mushrooms or onions on it! The sausage was scarce, at best, the crust was chewy, not crisp. 2 stars because the sauce is decent, what little sausage we got tasted good. Overall the pie was undercooked and very poorly executed. Rubbery cafeteria pizza, Frankies is worse than any pizza I've had in Chicago.
