Located in Port Royal neighbourhood, this place gives all the cozy cabin vibes with good food and drinks. The nacho melts that were on special were just so so good. Red hot wings were on spot with perfect spicy flavour we wanted. The waitress was not really checking on and had to call quite a few times for cutlery, plates and more orders. Definitely going back for food and drinks
Great food. I’m really tired of “sleeves” instead of 20 ounce pints in BC though. Slow Sunday service for an empty place too.

Just had an awesome steak salad from Frankie Gs. Hubs brought it home for lunch. Still warm but the steak was perfectly cooked: juicy and well seasoned. Great ratio of veg to meat. The corn was a great touch! No pic because I ate it so fast!
First off, I will say that I love going to Frankie G's. I have been here many times and I will continue to support this local business. However, I will have to be a bit critical in this review. I have tried many of the beers here from the Frankie's Lager, to the Heineken, to the Guinness and every single one of them has been very flat. Both lagers had very little life to them and the Guinness had been either been poured incorrectly, or had been flat as well. Food-wise, I will say their pastas and prime rib special are quite nice, though I think the rest of the food items really fluctuate in quality. I will keep coming back to Frankie's for as long as I can, but I really do hope management does take note of the aforentioned constructive criticism! Other than that, I've always enjoyed its awesome vibe and phenomenal service!
While the food was tasty and the layout cool, the service I found to be lacking. I don't presume to know what's happening behind the scenes but when all but 1 person gets their main food and the waitress says "oh did you order something?" to the last person, it really implies that she forgot to put the order in. But to make it worse, she says it'll just be a couple of minutes, but we were halfway through our meals before the last one came. There was no indication as to what the delay was until I walked up to the bar and asked what was going on. Afterwards there was no small gesture of goodwill, no free drink for the inconvenience or a minor discount, something. And it was not busy, there was maybe 5-6 tables in the entire venue. The server just didn't have any sense of urgency. Very slow. Since I don't live in the area, I will not be making another visit.
The food was pretty good. We had a bit of trouble with the service as the food for a couple people in our large party was quite delayed. But I'm giving this review five stars because when we were in the parking lot getting into our car to leave we heard Bohemian Rhapsody coming from a home next door and found out that there's a guy that that lives there and does impromptu performances for the love of music. Rock on Queensborough.
Ordered in via Skip. Had the beef dip. Very flavourful. Didn't skimp on the au jus. Had Caesar salad as a side, dressing was good and seemed like they used some kind of oil as well? No brown pieces of lettuce here. Lots of croutons. Beef dip was presented nicely in two pieces with toothpicks in each. Fairly good dinner and I do intend to check out the place in person soon.
Just took a customer from Yellowknife out for lunch and it was terrible. I was so disappointed with the food. The Chimichurri chicken Caesar salad my customer had was dry, the chicken was dry and she said it tasted like my fish and she said overall it was not good. I had the fish and chips. The batter was soggy and the tartar sauce tasted old/off. I hadn't been for a few years and the last time I went it was really good. Not sure if this was an off day or not but I will not be going back anytime soon.
We absolutely Love Sandy!!! Perhaps the best server we have ever had. She's very personable and great attention to detail. Nice job and a very valuable addition to the Frankie G team.
