Frank's Gourmet Grille

Beautiful fresh, clean attractive atmosphere. Well prepared and delicious food. We'll definitely be back. I'm not sure what took us so long to check out Frank's Gourmet Grille. We've known about the good reputation that Frank's original restaurant (Frank's Place) in Niantic, CT had. We just never got around to them. I took my family there this Saturday for lunch. It has a lovely dining room on one side and a very attractive bar area on the other. Note: the bar area was quaint and looked very welcoming even if you were traveling/dining alone. Our waitress was very attentive, the restaurant offered a plethora of specials and their menu is quite complete. I went with an old favorite that I don't often see on menu's any more... Veal Picatta and I opted for creamy risotto on the side. It was delicious! The menu offered so many items that I like; I'm sure we'll be back in the near future!

Best food ever!! The Chicken Marsala was the best I've ever had and he said he could hold the mushrooms. No one ever does that. Thank you so much. My family had the Chicken Pot Pie and absolutely loved it. The staff was amazing. The wine was great. This was overall a fabulous experience and I am very tempted to ask if they will overnight the Chicken Marsala to New York just so I can taste it again. It was an amazing experience that my family and I will never forget.

We stayed at the Residence Inn By Marriott we could walk to the restaurant which was ideal with our two year old daughter. The decor is very nice so we were a little nervous to bring a child. However, the staff was super friendly and attentive and service was great. We ordered two lobster rolls which were very good and my wife order the clear chowder which I also sampled which was delicious. Our drinks were also very good and came promptly. Took home a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie and laying in my bed writing this review...so I'd say it was a great experience and we would definitely come back the next time I am in the area.

The food is quite good here. Bruschetta is not easy to innovate with but he pulls it off. I enjoyed the stroganoff. Fresh bread is really nice.

Excellent food, lots of choices, great desserts. A wonderful experience, waiter was great. Definitely will go back. Prices a little high but the food was worth it.
