Story

Francesca’s Fortunato is the 13th restaurant in “The Family of Francesca’s Restaurants.” Francesca’s Fortunato brings to Frankfort and the surrounding area a restaurant with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, good, simple cooking, friendly service and fair prices. The menu features the zesty earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.

We always offer a tempting selection of appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, fresh fish, veal and chicken preparations. Our extensive wine list includes carefully selected Italian and Californian wines that will complement your meal perfectly.

Reservations are accepted and walk-ins are welcome. Carry out and catering are also available. Our private dining room can host up to 175 guests in a private or semi-private setting. Visit the Party Facilities page for details.

Great food & service. I've lived in the area for awhile & Francesca's is one of my go-to's. It's usually busy during the weekend & on a holiday. The best time to go if you're looking to walk-in is during the week & especially during the middle of the day. They don't have an extensive menu, but everything on it is very good.

Great Italian food!! Everything from scratch, including dessert, and I mean everything! MY go to place for Italian Cuisine! A bit pricey, but worth it. Changing menu is a nice twist. Pasta, fish, steak, etc;. Try their 4 cheese ravioli!

My wife and I went there to celebrate my birthday. Was a Saturday night and upon entering was met by two different hostesses. The one who spoke with us ( younger, dark hair with glasses) asked if we had reservation. Looking around and seeing that this place was only about 1/5 occupied, I advised no. We were lead to a two person table which was next to a doorway that lead into an additional dining area as well as a large fireplace. So our options was either being cooked next to the fireplace or have server's and customers bump into you all evening. I requested a different table at which time I was told that due to not having a reservation there was nothing available. I advised that my wife and I would be leaving the restaurant at which time the second hostess took over the seating arrangement. The meal was excellent and the new accommodation was fine. Apparently either the younger hostess had little to no training or just was willing to be accommodating to our request.

Place was jammed, though we had a reservation we waited for a good 30 minutes. Service was mediocre at best, and very noisy, hard to hold a conversation. We requested more bread three times and never got it. Entrees we fine, but overpriced. One of the meals was served rather cold, so it was sent back. By the time it re-arrived the rest of us in the party were finished with our meals. No apology, just seemed like business as usual. Party of four of us was $150.00 including tip, no drinks, just water for three out of four, with the other being a coke... I don't get the appeal of this place. Probably won't be back......

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for our date nights for four years. We have yet to be even slightly disappointed. The food is fantastic. Portions are large, and prices range from about 15 for more basic pastas, to about 35 for steaks and veal. The menu changes provide a different experience every time. It encourages me to try something new. I have ordered pastas, meat dishes, and appetizers that were all fantastic. Francesca's Fortunato provides a relaxing, warm environment that is very comfortable. Service has always been great. Refills on water and bread come often. After being ordered, the food comes quick and is always delicious. Staff are willing to correct any mistakes. This restaurant is in such a prime location, and should be top of your list if you are in the area and looking for a bite to eat. As long as Francesca's Fortunado is open, we will be coming back for more.
