Forest Park

They have areas for picnics and cookouts, Sports and water play. They have an on-site Zoo, ice skating rink and playgrounds for the kids. During the summer they offer different kinds of summer camps, and this is a great place for learning about nature. It really is a great place to take your family for the day or just got a walk. They also have farmers markets for local growers to sell their goods. Entry to the park is not free but if you're a city resident you can get a discounted annual pass. If you don't get the annual pass I'm not positive but it might cost about $3 a visit, which is still really good for a day out with your family or even a solo trip. I've been told drug addicts hang out in these woods to get high, but I've been in these woods over one hundred times and have never seen even one in the woods, where I always take my dogs for a walk.

Great place to take a walk or run. Bike, dog and hiker friendly place. Great for the kids and parents.

Beautiful historic park, grounds, buildings, wildlife, ECOS learning center for kids, paddle boats, flora. I hope the greenhouse is eventually restored. Good zoo, but wish animals had larger enclosures. Playgrounds, May-October Farmer's Market (by Cyr Arena), summertime pool & sprinkler park. Have family photos from 2 generations ago taken at Forest Park. Carriage House has been restored for functions. Winter time "Bright Nights" location. Only thing that could make it better would be to have relocated the mansion within the park rather than having torn it down for the highway.

A personal favorite park for walking the dogs. You can stay on a paved path or go off on a trail. Great for Pokemon as well ☺

Good city getaway. You can go from sitting river side to a baseball field and/or pool. Park is "segregated" but chill.
