2022 July 4.5 Let's be realistic. Is there really any other option for groceries in the local area that has selection and is reasonable? This store has a monopoly. No issues at the store. Staff is fine. Though the store has a small footprint and when it's busy, it's busy.
Given its a small town grocery store in a tourist spot, it is decent and has nice selection. Still kind of unorganized, but that's not at all what lost it's stars. It was the extremely terrible customer service by both cashiers. No hellos, thank you, nothing. They barely even acknowledged we were there, and when they did it was like they were annoyed we were shopping. At a grocery store. It was super uncomfortable.
Could use some better lighting, especially in the back where the fridges are it feels claustrophobic back there, but aside from that, I got everything I needed, and staff was nice and friendly. :
Staff were less than friendly and didn't seem welcoming. Witnessed a different tone of voice and attitude when speaking to one demographic non Caucasian over another Caucasian.
DO NOT recommend this foodland! I had the absolute worst experience. I ordered food platters from them for my small boat wedding in tobermory. Called and confirmed the order. Then on my wedding day when my father in law went to pick them up they were not ready. The women at the deli said “oh that was today” Not only did they not have it ready on time. They didn’t even have it started. The staff was INCREDIBLY rude about the situation. One deli employee even rolled their eyes and said to another employee “yeah I’m gonna need a smoke break for this” After finally having my order finished -35 minutes into my already started wedding that we were paying the boat rental for by the hour and cost us our time the food was finally ready. Except the order was completely wrong and we didn’t even get the platters we originally ordered. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. If I could leave an even lower review than 1 star I would.
Great place for kayak and cruise travel and indian food like samosa is available nearby to eat and kayak costs $25 for 2 hours is worth.due to covid 19 cruise are not available but overall a great experiance,must visit nearby beach singing send.small but soothing experience to have.
I’ll be honest, it’s a small town grocery store so I don’t expect much from it and it’s still possible to get a 5 star rating from me… sadly the lady behind the deli was super rude to us and made us both almost uncomfortable. I feel like they or she just hates tourists. I will say the young girl at the cash was super nice to us and even complimented my fiancé but the woman at the deli was just so freaking rude and condescending to us both rushing us to choose sandwich toppings which just ruined the experience. I would usually say “don’t go here” but you have no choice! There isn’t another grocery store for at least an hour! So just maybe avoid the mean lady at the deli :

This market is the biggest market in the town. It is very important and cute to have such a market in this town where I stayed for 2 days in October 2021. Even though the tourism season was over, there was still plenty of variety in the food market. . Very close to the beach. Right in the center of the city. Recommended.
Horrible service at the deli counter, very rude, impatient and condescending who obviously hated her job. We went there to get a couple of sandwiches made for our cruise. If you dared to ask her a question, she would point to the handwritten 6" board and stare you down. To the store manager: this was on July 22, 2022 at approx 10am.
