Foodland - Cobourg

Nice store. Very clean and well staffed. Great meat, deli and bakery sections. Very expensive. For example Piller Pepperettes are 10.97 at WM, 12.50 at Metro and 15.25 here. Same exact package. They have some specials but you really need to know what your buying and compare on the fliers and Apps.

I stopped in to buy fresh cut flowers for my granddaughter’s graduation. Lorraine at the check out couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful! She not only took the time to remove the price tag but also used paper towel and water to ensure the flowers would stay fresh until graduation time. Hats off to Lorraine for going above and beyond today!

I had a wonderful experience at Foodland. The shop was perfectly clean, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. While the prices are a bit on the expensive side, the quality of the groceries is top-notch. I don't mind paying a little extra for such a pleasant shopping environment and high-quality products. I'll definitely be returning to Foodland for my grocery needs.

To the older blonde lady working on till 1 at approximately 1:20pm, you were beyond disrespectful, rude, and honestly embarrassing. Do better.nnI only had cash on me and I did not realize that the self check-out did not take cash, but I put my coins in it before realizing and it did not come back out. I asked the cashier closest to me at till 1 blonde curly ish hair, no name tag if it took cash and she said no, I went to grab my items to take them to the till and she was very snarky and yelled over “ what did you not read the sign? You know she’s going to have to clear that” to which I said I’m sorry I did not see the sign before putting my coins in, and she chuckled and asked me how I didn’t see it, and that it’s meant to be read before you put cash in. I told her I did not see it to which she continued to argue with me. I did not get my coins back, I got disrespected, and honestly embarrassed. Unfortunately she did not have a name tag so I do not know who she was but she was working till 1, blonde, and older and I’m pretty certain she had glasses. I am beyond disappointed in this experience, it is not something I have ever experienced at this location, but I will not be returning.
