We're a retro-style burger joint in Kensington that focuses on local, fresh ingredients. We proudly serve Gluten-Free, Halal, Vegetarian & Vegan options.

Story

Flipp’n Burgers represents the 1950s retro era, an upbeat and nostalgic swing and jive take-out diner part of the Kensington community. A local burger joint that offers its patrons the classic burgers, shakes and fries made fresh daily using only the highest quality ingredients.

Flipp’n Burgers was born into a society with various tastes and choices that demand quality, for this reason we offer halal, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. We also realize the importance of giving back to the community and doing our part for the environment. For this reason we take part in local composting, recycling and re-purposing our used oil.

If you're looking for a real hamburger, this is the place. Flame grilled to order, delicious and topped just the way you want it. Small, comfortable indoor seating area, with a spot out front if you want some fresh air while you eat. Definitely with a visit!
A unique experience with good burgers, fresh toppings but even better poutine. The poutine here $8 has a good amount of fries to gravy to cheese ratio BUT the most unique part is the seasoning that comes on top of the fries dill and maybe something else. Definitely give the poutine a try. Burgers go from $8-15 for a good size actual meat patty. Limited seating inside this spot and can get pretty busy. The orders are all freshly made so will take time to get it. Not always the cleanest with tables/garbage area but also seems short staffed at times. The food prep area is clean and organized though!
Best burger, fries and milkshakes!!! Food is made fresh and the assortment of toppings for you burgers is great. Staff is super friendly. I would definitely recommend this burger place!!!
The burger was okay - I don’t know why they use such massive buns. It tasted so dry and was tough to eat because of the bread dominated the burger. Extra star for the garlic sauce.
One of the best burgers I have had in Canada, I went for beef burger but loved the taste of Fish Fillet burger. Staffs were too sweet and very friendly though they messed up with my order, but after having these burgers I will not complain about anything.
They have changed their burgers since I was here last time. Big improvement, because they are bigger now lol! Everything was fresh and tasty, service was reasonable, portion size was generous and they did a keto version of the cheeseburger for me.
Delicious burgers, a little bit different from what you have in your mind from other regular burgers. It's a complete dish. Lots of things in a sandwich. Small place, you may sit there and eat, yet my preference is to take out and find a better place to sit and enjoy the burger.
BURGER + SERVICE LIKE NO OTHER!!! A TRUE HIDDEN GEM Jumped out for a lunch date with my beautiful daughter Jaica, owner of Tipper Records @tipperrecords and as we walked around we decided on Flipp'n Burgers @flippnburgers right here in our beautiful @kensingtonyyc !! When you see it from the outside you are instantly drawn to it, as it holds a sort of "old school" vibe that you would come across in places like the Bronyx, New York etc. Complete with a table outside on the sidewalk to enjoy your meal!! When ordering the owners are there cooking away, smiling and interacting with you. The girl at the cash, equally as professional. Small chatter is heard from all the tables, and plenty of smiles and laughter. THE FOOD!!!!! Marone..... In the 3rd pic you can see how big my first bite was....and hey some say I've got a big mouth ....so..... Ummm this is hands down some of best food I have ever tasted....period. The quantity matched by the quality is insane, with nothing spared, this burger you see was plain and simply "all hands on deck". The fries have that amazing taste of fry truck done right. My daughter and I are encouraging you to stop in there and experience this. I guarantee this will become your new stop during the day!! Well done, and we are so thankful your amazing business is here in the heart beat of Calgary @cityofcalgary!! ........AND YOU BET I FINISHED IT!!!!!
What a great burger. You have to try the "flippin burger" at least once. Great service, socially capable staff and management, reasonable pricing, great value.. I'll be back..
My family and I stayed in Calgary for two nights and had cravings for burgers. I can just say they make Amazing burgers. Nice and juicy and biiiiig. We had dinner there both nights
