We stopped in for Saturday lunch at the Granite Curling Club after hearing about Flat Boy Burgers at Sea Change Brewing. We arrived shortly after noon and were able to order quickly. The front staff were helpful and made menu recommendations. We enjoyed double cheese burgers, flat fries and sauce, and shared a piece of key lime pie for dessert. Our lunch was delicious and made fresh. We will definitely return. There is parking available in front.
Best burger I've had in Edmonton and surrounding areas. Wish they had an actual restaurant, but their online ordering system is great and they were exactly on time with my order. I went on the weekend when they had their anniversary event and got 2 doubles for $8 each. The burgers were fresh and had great flavour. I got some flat sauce on the side to slather onto the burger and it made it even better. I think if the patties were a little more crispy they would've been perfect. Might've just been mine but it was great nonetheless. Will definitely return and also try their pie.
This is so easily the best burger in Edmonton and it’s not even close, this place is unreal. Might even be the best bite of food you can get in the whole city. Vibe aside which is also immaculate, I am seriously blown away by the burger. I’m emotional rn so glad this exists please run it up so it never ever goes out of business. I love y’all
The flat boy burger has been so good every time I’ve had it. Juicy inside with those perfect carmelized and crispy edges. A true smash burger. Highly recommend also get the key lime pie
For those that grew up in curling clubs or ice arenas back in the day, you may remember the beautiful smell of burgers and hot dogs in those venues. It was almost nostalgic to hear that Flat Boy Burgers had found a home in the Granite Curling Club. As soon as you step through the double doors, you can smell the burgers frying. Turn to the left and there they are! The service is amazing. The guys are so kind and helpful. They clearly love what they do. And the smash burgers are to die for. Perfectly smashed patties each with a layer of melted cheese. I had a triple flattie. Each pattie is 3 oz. Great fries too. So generous. They offered up generous ketchup and vinegar. It was so great to see this local shop in the Whyte Ave area. I will definitely be back. Though it's not the greatest "venue", I loved that it's in a curling club!
Food was great! The burger sauce is amazing! The gentleman working was such a nice guy great service! The fries were great wish they were little more crispy ate my burger to fast for the photo
It has taken awhile to visit Flat Boy as they are only open Saturday and Sunday and usually sell out, but we got there today and wow! I got the Flat Boy Burger for $11, two 3 ounce fresh Alberta grass-fed beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, bread and butter pickles and Flat Sauce. It was absolutely amazing, I would say it’s the best burger I have ever had sorry Five Guys. We ordered the lightly salted kettle chips and it was a perfect pairing with the burger, make sure you get some extra Flat Sauce for the chips. Order from their website and pick a time for pick up. We got there and gentleman came out to tell us our order was being made and then brought out the order to us curb-side.
Do yourself a favor and go to Flat Boy Burgers!! One of the best burgers I've ever had! Amazing fries and the key lime pie is pure homemade nostalgia.Food: 5/5
I don't usually deliberately write a review, but these were the best fries and perhaps the best burger I've ever had. Wandered in after walking in the area and seeing the rave reviews. They absolutely did not disappoint. Fries are perfectly fried and flavored with the right texture. Burger's bun is soft, patty is juicy, toppings and sauce are mixed perfectly for the burger. Great stuff for a good price.
One word: wow. Simply left speechless. The burger is what all burgers aspire to be: juicy and delicious to the last bite. I love the fact that there is no fuss; you can either get 1, 2 or 3 delicious patties per burger beef, veggie or vegan available and 5 or so classic toppings. That’s it. No laundry list of options to confuse you. The fries are great as well, best had with a side of their dipping sauce. All in all, as other reviewers have also said, best burger to be had in Edmonton, hands down. Too bad I didn’t have time to grab a few pics before devouring it. Once you start eating, you won’t stop for conversation til the last bite.
