Five Corners Cafe
"One of the last of its kind! A true 50's Diner. Opened in 1950 and still has all the trappings of a typical 50's Diner with the original counter and milkshake machine! Serving home-style breakfast and lunch and offering free coffee refills, this "local's favourite" prides itself on its service, knowing everyone's name and just making every customer smile and feel like they are welcome. A regular location for film shoots including the tv series Supernatural Psyche and Take 2. Enjoy the "Wall of Fame" a series of black and white photos of all our friendly "regulars" over the years when they were still young. Come and join us., take a seat and soak it in! We'd love to see ya!"

Sure there are fancier/healthier places all around the city. But this place provides the true Canadian diner experience. I love to support places like this, in hopes that they don’t completely disappear and the memories remain. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Vintage decor, good portions, tasty food and good service. We will be back : P.S. Cash only. Plenty of free parking in the area.
First time here and had a unique experience. Nice atmosphere despite the little space. Friendly service. Seems to be faster if you are a regular. Will come back and bring friends for brunch.
A 50’s retro cafe that takes cash only. We went there for breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. Good sized portions and friendly staff. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
Yummy food. Lots of breakfast and lunch choices. Famous for their breakfast sausages. Nice feeling of days gone by. Old fashioned bar & seating. Excellent, friendly service. May have line ups on weekends.
Great old school traditional cafe with the decor and food to take you back - crazy that I have paid so much for “exotic” coffees and one of the best cups I have had in the last 10 years is a very traditional plain coffee and served here …. Great breakfast choices …. for traditional cooked breakfasts and even for people like myself and wife who do not eat meat …. A must visit if you are in white rock …. Stare at their b and w picture collection for hours … and enjoy the very tentative staff. PS - a cash only establishment … just like in the 50’s
CASH ONLY!!! Closes at 2pm. Nice food. Not fast food.Food: 3/5
This was an amazing place for brunch! The vibe and atmosphere is cute for a date with loved one. The food was delicious and the service was superb. I will definitely be back! Thank you and stay groovy
You might be tempted to try this diner because of the nostalgia factor but restrain yourself. Food was disgusting, tasteless and heated in the microwave I witnessed this. Owner/server unfriendly. Then we were told it was cash only, we didn't have any, who does these days. We were directed to a broken ATM across the street and then my partner had to run up the street to a nearby convenience store to purchase something to get cash back; recommended by the owner. What a hassle. Very poor experience, we won't go back.
Always enjoy this place. Good food. Friendly atmosphere. Lots of cool things to look at as you wait for your fast and efficient service.
Great little family run restaurant! It was busy so we sat at the booth, service was excellent. Food was homemade and tasty. My dad and I both had an omelette with the shredded hashbrowns. I also hear the milkshakes are really good.. I'll be getting one of those next time! Highly recommend.
