After hearing from others, it was definitely nice to finally try this little gem of a tapas bar. We enjoyed everything from the ambiance, to the service, to the piano player and of course the food. We ordered a few different items off the menu but by far we enjoyed the avocado boats, crab cakes and tenderloin. It's not an inexpensive place but the food was very good. It was busy on a Saturday night, so would recommend reservations. Nice proximity to White Rock for that after dinner stroll. We had a great evening and will definitely being going back.
Very delicious food but wine selection in rose almost non-existent . And really loud. is tv necessary for romantic or any dinner?
Nice atmosphere, it doesn't feel authentic Spanish, it does have the tavern feel tho. The food was incredible. I've never had such fresh food in vancouver. In my opinion, the crab cakes were made in house, I will have to go back and ask! Exquisite
Went here for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere is definitely a bit dated and feels gloomy when not many people are in it. The food however was excellent while albeit quite expensive. This is one of the more expensive Italian restaurants I have been to in the area. The portion size of the food was also quite small and my family is not big eaters but all agreed It seemed quite cheap. Overall better value can be found but this is a solid option if you want to spend some serious money.
This is the first time we've been to Bin 101. I've seen the other one in Vancouver but never experienced eating there. I made a reservation at their website online which was great. My wife and I went there on a Saturday night. It's a small restaurant and it was packed. The first thing we notice was the noise level was quite high. When we sat down across from each other we could barely hear each other. Our waitress came and took our drink order and when she came back we ordered dinner. I ordered the crab cakes to share and I had the Linguini de mare and my wife had the Maple glazed salmon. The food was very good. Loved the Linguini and the seafood. They had a musician playing piano and sing. He was good and entertaining. It was obvious Bin 101 had a lot of repeat customers. They were singing and dancing in the aisles. It was loud but a fun atmosphere.
Loved the authentic ceasar salad. Everything was delicious and came out quickly! Perfect spot for date night.Food: 5/5
Went with a group of friends on a Friday night. The service was excellent - the servers were really friendly and checked on us often. The food was good, although they had a limited selection of entrees to choose from. The major issue for me was that the atmosphere was really LOUD. There was a live piano player, but the sound of voices in the room pretty much drowned out all of the music. It was so loud that I had to actually lean in to hear the person sitting next to me. By the time we left my voice was hoarse from having to talk so loudly. There was a large group there for a birthday party at the time, so maybe that had something to do with it.
Came all the way from Vancouver. Wanted to wait for the restaurant open and eat here, was ordering on my phone so that I can take out asap when the restaurant opens and enjoy a family dinner. someone told me not to park here and the “customer parking” sign is literally in front of me and he said this is a private parking. Now I’m gonna take out chicko chicken.
Great place for get together with a few friends, you can enjoy some tapas and pair it with your favourite vine, , the venue is small yet inviting and it is even better when there is live music.
I really like this restaurant. The food is good. The wine is good. I think the service could improve as we waited a long time for anyone to come to our table. It's a small place but it's quaint.
