Maybe my least favourite gym I've been in the 10 yrs I've been working out. The gym setup is super choppy, and they have tight hallways with machines in them that have you bumping into people while working out and walking through. If you go in the evening you'd be better off working out at home unless you join a class because they use the studio for a class + the gym floor and you can almost not find a place to stand nevermind workout. Almost Impossible to keep a workout flow kudos to their trainers who work in peak hours Most of the showers are out of order with tiles falling out everywhere as well. Memberships are cheap which is the plus and the staff have all been very friendly and nothing bad to say in regard to that. I strictly go out of necessity when on a time constraint but often I will drive the extra time to North Vancouver or Burnaby locations.
Not bad. Been going for a year. Affordable. Friendly staff. Good variety of equipment.nnCons: Usually gets dirty during peak times. Patrons have a bad habit of leaving weights lying around. Could have better airflow especially when someone passes gas nearby has happened a handful of times. Equipment could use a tune up from time to time especially the treadmills.
Working with my trainer Stefan Poluga has helped me feel so much more comfortable at the gym. He shows how to do exercises with the correct form and coaches you til you get it right. He not only built out the program for me but explained the logic behind it all so I know what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. He also bases his training on science and is personable so it’s easy to ask questions. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
I highly recommend Hollie for personal training! She is an amazing trainer. I was new to the gym and I was able to reach my goals quickly and efficiently under her guidance. She approaches training in a kind and motivating manner that really helps people excel in ways they didn’t think they could. I would go to this fitness world location just for Hollie!!! Ask for her if you’re even contemplating training at the gym, and she will make your goals possible and achievable!!
I've been coming to this gym for a while as a guest, and I finally ended up subscribing. They have affordable packages befitting for your goals and plenty of clean and working equipment. However, keep in mind that it is usually crowded at peak times. Staff is friendly and willing to help you, Eve personal trainers helped me to identify exercise posture and muscle to be trained on. She was really sweet.nOverall, I find this gym functional for workout beginners and experienced people. You can monitor your progress with a personal trainer or with the equipment available.
