Never dealt with a more predatory business model than fitness world. Signing up is EASY, good luck getting out though. Read all the fine print very very carefully, and don't believe anything the staff tell you while signing up. They will bleed you for every penny, and just when you think you're out, they'll bleed you for more.nnI'm sure this gym is great for some, just wanted to share my experience as someone who got persuaded into an unbreakable year long contract by some heavy handed sales tactics by employees. And even upon cancelling after a year, they still take one last month of payment which I was lied too about when I tried to cancel my membership during the year.
Fitness World: A Solid Choice for Vancouver Fitness EnthusiastsnI've been a member of Fitness World for the past year and have found it to be a great place to achieve my fitness goals. While it may not be the most luxurious gym in town, it offers a solid range of equipment, classes, and amenities at a reasonable price.
Decent gym. Pretty well-maintained for how overcrowded it is. Things break all the time but they seem to get fixed relatively quickly.nThe one downside is the people who work out there, who are pretty damn sketch, probably because of how cheap the gym is. I've had my stuff stolen on more than one occasion and I've only been working out there for a few months. I've seen a guy vaping on the gym floor.
This is my first time joining a gym as I found it intimidating before, but after a year of coming it has become my little happy place.nnDylan, the manager, makes you feel welcome and the staff are so friendly and helpful, especially Adam and Aidan who have even allowed me to come in with a companion when the payment system didn't work. Thanks for the dedication and hard work in keeping us going. Great place and staff!
