Absolutely the very BEST & ONLY place to get in shape! I love Fitness Evolution in Rochester! The owner Trevor, is wonderful. He and his staff care about each and every person that walks through their doors. They have EVERYTHING a great fitness center should. From classes to instructors, spinning, and online tools. Fitness Evolutions is by far the only place you need to go. Thanks Trevor, Your Friend, Sarah P/Skyline Publishing, Inc.

Cheap place to workout, but it can be more clean. For starters, there should be one more squat rack, the water fountains are dirty, the inside room smell like dogs all the time. The management is good and helpful, but regarding the cleanliness, there should be more improvement.

My favorite place to workout at. Great variety of classes and a wide range of equipment. Definite improvement with the company/owner change over. Much cleaner and better staff. :)

Definitely has its pros that I could see from touring this place. Machines for the most part look in working order, although they're all about 1 generation old in age, so neither new nor old. Some of the padding will have tears but nothing is decrepit. However, they have a poor excuse for a deadlift platform, which was "newly added" this summer. It is a simple wood block with nothing rubberized in its construction. Certainly nothing fancy but what do you expect for 10 bucks a month. Continually inaccurate claims of updating the machinery when I've called several times for updates over the past year. First it was expected to get new squat racks/deadlift platforms in February when I called back in October, then that was pushed back to June/July when I called in February, and in the end they only added one cruddy deadlift platform this summer with no further additions planned until they "rebrand" the gym to a new name StayFit (?). Site is not updated and misleading when it claims there is a swimming pool. Best selection of lever machines I've seen in the area after having been a member at the DAHLC (which blows), RAC (great selection of lever AND cable, also all 1 generation old, but not as many lever machines as Fitness Evo), and the Edge. However, Fitness Evolution even if it is "clean" has a pretty unsightly interior design. I didn't check out the locker rooms so I can't speak for the state of the inside there. You won't lack for most options in any lifting routine; however, there is a GLARING lack of a power rack here given all of the other weightlifting equipment they do have. They only have a pure squat rack. Other than the cruddy deadlift platform, there is a stretching area that also serves doubly as a deadlifting area. All in all, pros of this place: cheap (10 per month and 139 signup for basic membership), very large variety of machines and has most things but a power rack, clean enough that it wouldn't keep me away, medium-large space (I'd say twice as big as the Edge). Cons: big upfront sign-up fee of 139 dollars when you only pay 10 bucks a month for membership, overall unappealing interior, that is basically like a big square warehouse room, misleading website.

They will not let you cancel your membership! I'm leaving the country for crying out loud and they still treated me like trash for leaving. Ultimately I had to cancel my debit card to get the charges to stop. My sister had the same issue and after 6 months she finally hired someone to cancel the membership for her which also costed her money. AND WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE CONTRACTS! Straight scammers. Oh and don't even get me started about the black mold in the men's locker room.
