This is my favorite place nearby now. The subs are such great quality, everyone is friendly, the atmosphere is really nice with the firefighting theme. Plus they run fundraisers for local firefighters. Really impressive stuff and I feel very fortunate to have this awesome quality store nearby. Parking: Shared parking with other stores, never had issues with it. Kid-friendliness: Many very nice kid options.
We saw Firehouse Subs were opening today and we had to try it! Great selection of subs. They also offer catering. We ordered the meatball and steak subs. Can't forget the sauce! It is pricier than the other sub restaurants, comparatively speaking. But, it is also a step up in both the taste and quality of the subs. Parking: Tight parking with all the snow. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance on the ground level. Good accessibility.
Met owner ash at Bombay Frankie’s was welcomed like family. Ash invited me to firehouse subs for free sub as I told him a few colleagues mentioned how good firehouse was I just had to try it. Wen to location today and was amazed how well organized the staff are and food was amazing best sub ever tried will be back again and thanks for team at Bombay and firehouse and thanks Ash again
First time ever going to Firehouse Subs. The man working the cash gave by far the best service I’ve ever received. He treated the take out restaurant customers better than most sit down restaurants. He was friendly, funny, attentive, patient, and seemed like he actually enjoyed being there. While we were sitting, he checked in on us and cleared our table multiple times. All I can say is, Wow!

My partner ordered two subs, her vegetarian sub, with no onion, as she hates onions. She was explicit, no caramelised onion, no fresh onion. She drove all the way home with our subs, only to find out her sub had onions. So, I drive all the way back there with her sandwich and ask them to replace it, as any business would. I asked if they could replace mine, because it was going to be soggy by the time I got home. They said if I brought my sandwich they would have replaced it. Okay, that's fair, but I'm not about to drive all the way back home, back to Firehouse, and then back home again for a sandwich. I think a good business would go the extra mile, but whatever, I get it. So I ask about a free brownie for the trouble, a very reasonable request, then she gets snarky and says, abrasively, "we're giving you a free sandwich." No, you're not. You're replacing the one that we just paid for and ordered, that you screwed up, which is why I'm driving around instead of enjoying a fresh Firehouse sub. I love Firehouse subs. I go to the one on Greenbank all the time. I will not go back to this location. Every other spot I go to, the people are pleasant and a good representation of the banner, not here though. Add - they didn't get the 5-star for food that most Firehouse subs deserve because, by the time I are mine, it was soggy, of course. Thanks for going the extra mile Hazeldean location. You really knocked it out of the park!
Tried to order UberEats with them for 15 mins and they kept cancelling our order. Location still open for almost another 90 mins, order decided and placed, then they cancel. Wasted more time speaking to Uber to learn more that it’s the store cancelling for unknown reasons. Advised to try again.. Setup the order again for it to seem like it’s all working and then.. Cancelled.. Again. I guess don’t take our money? Subway is happy to do so. Bizarre.
Been waiting for these guys to open for a while, classic hearty meal! Ash is an accommodating professional and he has an amazing team supporting him! Terribly expensive, but that's not on them. Kid-friendliness: Cute hats, good snacks!
I have ordered through UberEats three times. It’s very slow, but I assumed was an isolated incident. This is the third time now I have waited over an hour I live 5 minutes away and it’s a sub. Today I ordered at 4:30 and it’s now 6:00 and I still have not received my order. Don’t offer UberEats if you don’t prioritize the customers who utilize it.
Had our party catered this weekend with 2 boxes of sandwiches. Not only was everybody raving about how good they were, but the service that Ash provided was immaculate. He truly went above and beyond for us. From accommodating us to a schedule change to making a custom order and even including Firehouse hats for our children. The service was like no other. I will be recommending and definitely ordering again. Thank you Ash, You and your team are doing an amazing job.
