A lovely and upscale restaurant with a pristine setting. Featuring an open kitchen, their pizza was beautifully crisp and the pasta was also enjoyable. They offer a wide selection of drinks. Although the service was a bit slow, I still savored my meal there.
Pleasant setting and atmosphere, kind and polite staff. Honestly I was a little disappointed in the pizza, though. At $23 for a personal size 1-topping Pepperoni pizza, I guess I had my hopes set too high. The sauce is ok, the cheese was average, and the dough was kinda just too chewy with zero crisp. With a brick oven, I was hoping for and crispy crust and it was just kinda floppy. Not saying it was bad, it was alright, but at $23 it should be great. Maybe I got unlucky and they had the oven temp set too low. I think I'll be taking the time to venture out of the hotel for food on my next visit.
We have ordered takeout and dined in many times at Fire & Oak and have always enjoyed it. Until today. The Arctic Char used to be amazing and worth the $36 price tag but the recent change by removing the risotto and adding frozen corn and sausage is a big downgrade. Our recent takeout order seemed to be missing garnishes or maybe they’ve been removed; the Arctic Char did not come with the tomato and lime salsa and the Loaded Hawaiian pizza was missing bacon and the bbq drizzle. The bolognese and Alfredo were both very tasteless. Very unfortunate for a restaurant that we used to really enjoy. Not sure what is driving the changes but hopefully they’ll reconsider how they are preparing their food and get back to the quality they once had.
We were a group of six for dinner/ birthday celebration so the service was more or less okay. Food was good as usual, however many options from the menu were not available. They cut down on desserts badly: a tiny-tiny slice of cake for 13$.nnWhen I asked for coffee I was served literally an icy cold coffee with no extra cream or milk. The coffee was so cold I thought it was leftovers from the breakfast or lunch. It was embarrassing and I couldn’t help but had to ask for a normal freshly brewed HOT coffee which should be a standard simple thing for such kind of a restaurant. Also, the waiter wasn’t happy about it. Seriously?! Used to be quite a decent restaurant some 4-5 years ago but I guess the ownership has changed as it’s getting worse and worse with every visit.
Plus they have vegan cheese but kinda strange to order a vegan pizza with vegetables and get just a vegan cheese pizza. It was ok nothing spectacular but the oversight was very disappointing. I mean logically vegans wouldn't be scared of vegetables. Ha all the meat pizzas were loaded with veggies and the veggies gets boring cheese. Just to clarify they specifically asked if we wanted grilled veggies and we said yes.
