Wonderful place to spend an evening. This is one of the better dining experiences I’ve had in large part due to the server. He was warm, he allowed us time to make our choices and to visit, he was personable yet professional and just made the experience a happy one for our group. We opted for the regular menu instead of the Dine Out offerings so that three of us could share the food it’s meant to be served family style. The food came out at a good pace, everything we ordered was tasty and well executed. The space itself is vibrant, casual, welcoming. It felt nice to be in a restaurant where tables weren’t packed in close together. An overall great dinner experience.
Recommend coming for a date night or a group or friends because the plates are designed for sharing! Beautiful space with beautiful food that tastes like it was cooked with love. The octopus was so tender and the pistachio sauce was very unique. I love the handmade freshness of the gnocchi too. We also tried the beef carpaccio which was great--lots of truffle flavour. Definitely want to come back to try the arancini and lamb meatballs.
Dropped by after dinner at one of the near by restaurants for dessert and drinks. Would definitely come back and try their menu. Everything we ordered was amazing. Drinks and dessert. The staff is very friendly and just a great chill, hangout to enjoy your meal or drinks with your friends.Food: 5/5
Great little funky European style restaurant at the fringe of Chinatown. What i liked: 1 creative appies: they served me a small snack not on the menu warmed focaccia bread and warmed green olives in with balsamic oil and vinegar. Nice touch! 2 large portion: The sandwich we ordered was a large portion unfortunately no sides and another fish my friend ordered fir Harte was a decent side dish. 3 happy hour: it’s all day until 6! The longest happy hour I’ve seen so far 4 wine price: their house wine is $1 per ounce! Location is great. Ambiance is unique. Prices are reasonable and the service was pretty awesome..
Cool place to hangout with friends! Good vibes, great service, and food was decent. We arrived in time to catch their happy hour and so we ordered mostly from that menu. We thought everything we ordered was well priced and we were pretty full in the end. In my opinion all their dishes could use a bit more punch in flavour, nonetheless, we still had a good time—$6 drinks and sharing food in a cool looking restaurant! Looking forward to trying more from their menu next time!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food! We tried the carpaccio, the coccoli and prosciutto, the gnocchi, the polpo octopus and tiramisu. Our favourite was the octopus - it was cooked to perfection! Not to mention, the drinks were so good as well. The owners were so welcoming and the service was very pleasant as well. This restaurant is going to become a local gem. Definitely recommend trying this place!
A diamond in the rough located in the sketchy Chinatown area. Fantastic Italian toasted schiacciata sandwiches. Didn't do my beforehand research on Italian street meats/food items, the menu descriptions were like a foreign language to me, saw the word prosciutto and ordered it. Also ordered the tomato soup and arugula salad. Soup bowl size smaller than what I'm accustom to, cup size was the size of a teacup. Sandwich arrived nicely toasted and already cut in two since we decided to share one sandwich, plenty of prosciutto with arugula and mushrooms which softened the strong prosciutto flavor profile. Prosciutto was plentiful, moist and delicious. Gio very knowledgeable and quick to explain and answer any questions from the menu. Part II- dinner menu Ordered: Patate Arrosto Polpo Frito Misto Gnocchi Great vibe at night. Bar busy serving cocktails, house white wine superb for the price. Potatoes appetizer was fluffy and moist with a nice thin crispy crust, perfectly cooked Gotta be the best Gnocchi i ever had, perfect match with the boar ragu. Octopus tenderly cooked paired with tasty pistachio sauce which didn't overwhelm the delicate taste of the octopus. Seafood was lightly battered and cooked to perfection to preserve the flavors of the seafood/vegetables squid, shrimp, onions, peppers, etc Top all this off with a flavorful serving of pistachio ice cream for dessert Both lunch & dinner very enjoyable, especially with Gio's friendly knowledgeable menu explanations and his obvious passion shines through.
Really enjoyed this place because it’s not your typical over-portioned and over-cooked pasta/Italian joint. A good amount of variety on the menu. Loved the arancini balls, and I appreciated the thought that was put into the dishes. Nice atmosphere and felt as if I was in Europe. Would recommend!
Visited this place for dinner cena and we had a nice experience. This place is, however, pretty pricey compared to the portion sizes. The staff did inform us the menu was made to be shared and around 3-6 plates would be ideal to share. We ordered the Arancini which are those balls filled with spring pea and garlic. These were 10/10 for flavor, very delicious! The price was $14 for 4 of them. As a vegetarian, there weren’t many options for dinner as there were for appetizers. I ordered the vegetarian gnocchetti and I was very impressed with it. When the plate arrived I was a bit shocked with how small the portion was for $28, but after eating it I felt pretty satisfied. The last plate was the ravioli which was also delicious but extremely small in portion.
really lovely experience. service was top notch and food was pretty tasty- seemed to get better as the meal went on. the tuscan ribs were divine and the gnochetti was another top dish. the prosciutto, whipped cheese and dough balls was really good and the dough balls were just like my nonna makes them. will be back.
