Service was awesome. Food not so much. Some dishes were great, like the burrata salad, and the gnocchi. The carbonara I had to spit it out because something in it was definitely old and went bad. I sent it back and got a different pasta which was really good. I asked to check with the kitchen what the problem is or which ingredient has gone bad but never got a response on that. Also the mussels did not taste fresh, but was told that they get fresh ones every other day. Other than that, the food is simple and good, but nothing exceptional, however the price is very reasonable so I would recommend trying.
Had high expectations for this place seeing as it has been in Yaletown for quite awhile. However, at the price range of $30 per pasta it simply does not hold up with the competition around Vancouver. By no means was the food bad, you are just much better off spending your money elsewhere. Otherwise, the service was good and quick.
Popped in here early on a friday after reading reviews, definitely recommend a reservation. We lucked out in getting a table. First off this place is run like a well oiled machine, with all women at the helm, very efficient from the service to the meal itself. I was very impressed. Now the food, I read about the date night special so we chose that thinking that for the price and dining in Vancouver the portions may be small but that was far from the case. The photos are the appetizers, the special also included 2 pastas and 2 desserts and a bottle of wine, needless to say we were very full. The food was amazing, I would definitely go back and this time make a reservation.
Great service, great vibe, great price and great food! Cozy and nice place, the course was a good deal, absolutely worth a try. The salads were the best part, super fresh. The seafood risotto was quite salty on that day, other than that is a 10/10.
I wasreally excited about this place but one thing I didn't know is all the pasta is "fatta in casa" meaning that it's chewy and the spaghetti is actually spaghettoni big fat noodles which I don't love. But it's good if you like house made pasta. The other deterrent I had was the fact that the kitchen was small, and they do not actually cook to order any of the pasta! It's just a container of precooked pasta they make at their other location, they just add it to the sauce when you order. This is kind of blasphemy, as pasta takes no time at all to boil... in spite of this, the pasta was not overdone, it's al dente chewy like fresh pasta but keep in mind they make it at the other location if you want fresh made or order I suggest going there. The dishes are big and it is fairly authentic Italian flavours, the service is quite slow though, and the restaurant is very small you need to reserve a table. Oh, I also ordered a Prosecco which was an awesome portion they filled my glass but the waitress emptied a bottle and opened a new one, but a DIFFERENT KIND OF PROSECCO. I was pretty unimpressed by that, mixing wines? Would they have done that with a white or red? That's not cool :-/ Would I give this place another chance? Maybe. But the other location probably, so I could get fresh pasta. Too bad, they have a great menu.
Everything we had is amzing!! Top quality pasta and wine, great service, its a place feel like home!! Definitely recommend to everyone^-^// tiramisu with exprsso is ^-^bFood: 5/5
Amazing food! Super tasty, fresh and the staff is super friendly as well!! We had Celeste salad, risotto, Pesto spaghetti, and seafood spaghetti, which was my favourite one. Hats off to chef Laura!!
Small Italian place in yaletown. Food was tasty but service was very slow. We waited almost an hour in between when the starters and main courses came out. This was on a weekday and we stepped out of the office for lunch - it’s a good thing we had some extra time that day otherwise we would have had to just leave to get back.
Had a wonderful dinner here with some friends. The Gnocchi al Portofino was amazing! I would also highly recommend the lavender crème brûlée! However the antipasto board is not worth getting at all; the portion is tiny and super disappointing. There is a great ambience here; perfect for a group of friends or a causal date. The date night menu is worth getting, especially as a group because you can just add on a couple of entrees. We enjoyed the red wine that was paired with! Would come back here again.
Don’t even think - order the date night special it’s the best deal you can get. Crab ravioli and the seafood pasta are both splendid. One star missing cos the restaurant is so crammed and stuffy in summer it wasn’t the best dining experience. Go to the west end one instead!
