Filosophi Events is not your run of the mill event planning company - though that is what we do - we just do it with a bit more umph. We are genuine people who won't just kiss your ass and do your bidding the entire time we are working together, we will work with you, bringing creativity & style to your vision. We live outside the box, and this helps us to make your event truly unique, memorable and incredible. We do weddings, concerts, fashion shows, fundraisers, galas, conferences, stag/ettes, showers (bridal & baby, not your morning shower, although we could help arrange that as well LOL). Our team of experienced planners can help with all aspects of planning and execution and can will tailor a planning package to suit your needs, but most of all we will get the job done right and all of us, yourself included, will have an awesome time in the process.

We worked with Margaux from Filosophi Events to plan our wedding in December 2021 and it was the best decision we ever made. The months leading up to the wedding were so stressful and the covid restrictions were changing every couple weeks. Margaux always put us at ease and helped us put together a few different plans depending on what the restrictions would be the day of the wedding. She really went above and beyond. We gave her feedback on what we wanted the flowers and decor to look like and she sourced everything for us so quickly and it turned out even better than what we imagined. On the day of the wedding, she helped us organize all of the vendors and kept everything on schedule so we didnt have to worry about a single thing. I've worked with Filosophi before on several events and they truly are the best in Vancouver. Erin, Margaux and the Filosophi team are all so kind, creative and easy to work with. I can't recommend Filosophi more!
My husband and I worked with Shirley Glua from Filosophi who assisted with takeover planning, as well as event design, for our recent wedding in my childhood backyard Ceremony and the Polygon Gallery reception in August. Shirley was an absolute superstar! From the get go, she had calls with us to clearly outline the takeover process and walk through what information we needed to have ready/booked for when she would takeover later in the summer. She also had the most phenomenal decor/design ideas of the wedding, which showcased a very clear understanding of our design inspiration from our pinterest board and conversations we had related to what we were looking for. As we neared our wedding day, Shirley was very communicative in responding to our many sorry! emails, and got on the phone with us as needed to discuss relevant details as we were planning our BC wedding from Toronto. She made us feel great about what we had planned and how ready we were and once the wedding day arrived everything went off without a hitch! We are so incredibly pleased with how everything flowed logistically and the ending decor design at both venues were perfect and exactly what we had envisioned. It was such a pleasure working with Shirley and her team - they are true experts in what they do, which is evidenced by how well everything went to make our day exactly how we had dreamed. Thank you SO much to Shirley and Filosophi for making our day so perfect!
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Katie on a lovely, intimate winter wedding in Calgary, Ab in January. The ceremony was held outdoors at a private residence with the reception at a trendy local restaurant. Katie had a beautiful vision for the day and was kind, collaborative and a joy to work with. She was also quick to answer emails and questions I had and provided excellent communication throughout the planning process. I highly recommend Filosophi Events! We worked with Margaux for our wedding in 2022 and was the best money we spent as it truly allowed us to be present in the moment and enjoy the day we had spent so much time and money planning. The entire Filosophi team was incredible to work with - not only did they deliver on everything we had discussed, they were also proactive and flexed in the moment to make sure it was one of the best days of our lives. Highly recommend working with them!
What can we say about Erin and her team of talented, lovely, brilliant associates and assistants? My team and I have had the pleasure of working with Vancouver wedding planners Filosophi on numerous weddings over the years. Time and time again, we’ve been blown away by the creativity of each celebration, the relaxed vibes of our couples no doubt thanks to all the heavy lifting Erin and her team put into each event, and the comfort in knowing every vendor is acknowledged and taken care of. We always feel fully supported when going into each Filosophi wedding: from having a detailed, intuitive schedule to the trust Erin and her team has in us to provide our services photography and cinema to our couples. You want Erin and her team in your corner when it comes to all this wedding planning business: highly capable and organized humans who genuinely care.
I am a wedding photographer and a very particular person, and Filosophi specifically Shirley, our lead planner was absolutely incredible. Coordinating a wedding is a tough job and Shirley made sure everything went smoothly without a hitch. She answered my many questions, met with me several times, was in constant communication about every detail, was well experienced with vendors and the events of the day, and had a great eye for detail. My mom was particularly impressed with how everything they set up was packed perfectly back where it was found. My husband and I had an amazing and fun day because we didn't have to worry about anything; it was all taken care of! If we were to do it again we would hire them every time!
When Lisa and I started planning our wedding at Sonora Resort in BC, we didn't think we needed a wedding planner and that we could "manage" it all ourselves. The resort however required us to have a planner as they had limited capacity to manage all the events and needs. They referred us to Filosophi and Erin Bishop which in retrospect was the best thing that could have happened. We immediately knew we were in good hands from the first introduction to Erin. Erin is an entrepreneur at heart and is in relentless pursuit of providing the highest level of service. She took a personal interest in our wedding planning and quickly identified all the things that needed to happen to pull of an amazing event. We had no idea what we had gotten ourselves into having a remote wedding in Canada while living in France. I can honestly say in the year of planning there was not a moment I was worried or concerned about Erin making our wedding a special and amazing event. She managed all the interactions with the resort, helped all of our guest with travel planning and the customized travel needs as the only way to the resort is by private seaplane, boat or helicopter. She connected us and facilitate all the discussions with vendors from flowers, to video, to decoration, etc. She even helped plan the menu for all the meals an entire weekends worth directly with the resort. When we showed up to the island there was nothing we had to do but enjoy ourselves and our guest. She went so far as to ensure there was a full-time babysitter for our youngest child and she actually ironed and steamed all our wedding clothes by herself! Not to mention that she coordinated barges and transport for all our things and vendors things to the resort. I could go on and on but there was no greater use of our money for the wedding. Erin is professional as they come but she is also a great individual and someone we now consider a friend. She makes miracles happen for so many people. You will not go wrong with Filosophi. An amazing group of people!
We used Margaux Richards as our day of planner. She was amazing!! Super responsive to all of my emails throughout the year when asking about wedding etiquette or help finding vendors. She instantly knew what my style would be like and made the best recommendations. She has a great calming presence and makes you feel confident that everything will be taken care of when you hand the keys over to her a few weeks before the wedding. If you can't afford full wedding planning services I HIGHLY recommend day of service. You'll feel relaxed and focused on your wedding knowing Marqaux and Filosophi Events has it covered.
