Great place! The location is perfect to grab a bite and warm/cold drink in the area. My friend and I spent 3 hours just chatting over pastries and warm drinks. Will definitely make it a regular visit after shopping or when I feel like treating myself.Recommended dishesPastries
This is a really nice modern coffee shop. I had a mocha and a avocado toast here. They were really great. The mocha flavour was excellent. The avocado toast had several bread options too. I would say this is an ideal breakfast place even though the price was slightly on the higher side. I really like the interior plain and simple. They have two interior room and outdoor seating too. The 2nd interior room is quite and ideal for working. The service was good. Moreover the rooms have high sealings making us feel like huge rooms. They sell their coffee beans too in the shop. I went here early 7:30 am on a sunday. When I reached it was just me and another customer but as it was 8, the place was pretty full. But the service was fast so not a problem. The waste tray was full by the time I left so that was the only problem I faced. They have parking too.
I'm surprised this cafe has high reviews. We went on a weekend and this was my experience: - the place wasn't very clean. There was food on the floor around the garbage and some tables. - the bathroom was very untidy. I only washed my hands. - the selection is slim. We got a chocolatine and it was good but the ham and cheese toast wasn't worth it. The cheese was oily and the dish was so basic it felt like I could have made it better at home. Basically toast, ham and cheese. - the coffee was fine. Nothing over the top. I think it was the lack of cleanliness that really ruined it for me. At one point a lady even showed up with her dog bowl and the girl behind the counter filled it up with water for her but there was water from the bowl dripping on the counter and the server did not have gloves on so it was just gross to watch. Probably won't go back.
It’s been a minute since I ventured out of the comfort and familiarity of the ‘hood to enjoy a coffee. So, when a friend suggested this place, I jumped at the chance. It’s big, airy and bright - definitely not what I was expecting, but it works. The maple latte and cheese cake were on point! Service was ok - perhaps a bit distracted because it was nearing closing time. I imagine a big place like this takes much time and effort to keep up. There were some signs that ‘to do list’ wasn’t a priority, but that doesn’t take away from the possibilities. Next time you find yourself near the Train Yards, and need a pick me up, head over here!
Lofty, airy coffee house with ample seating and plugs. It has two rooms with high ceilings and a full side patio with umbrellas in the sun. This is a great place to work because of the solid wifi and the standup table at back. The staff is nice and they have $8 sandwiches, including falafel wraps and caprese.
Randomly walked in here while shopping in the area. The cappuccino, cold brew coffee and brownie we got were all 4 stars. The reason for two star review is that when I asked for a plate and fork for the brownie I was told "we are closing soon so we are not using them". This was at exactly 6:04 PM and they close at 7:00PM.
Today I sat down for a morning coffee as I finished my work. Asides from the coffee and their delicious flatbread, the Figaro staff is absolutely wonderful and incredibly genuine. One of the workers, Aya, was incredibly helpful and provided such a welcoming environment for me, she really is an absolute delight. Highly recommend this location, they really do make you feel at home!
5/5 nice ambience & good coffee. Staff was very friendly. One of the staff members saw that I was taking pictures and offered to show me the dine in area that has the map on the ceiling to get a better shot! Thanks
All Style - No Substance. I went for lunch with a co-worker and it was one of the worst experiences I've had at any establishment in a long time. I ordered an Iced latte and the Ham and Cheese "Flatbread" - The latte was bland, it was mainly milk, and the flatbread was akin to something I would have prepared as a child left to my own devices. While the staff were friendly enough they were not knowledgeable and did not even know the soup of the day or if the debit machine was working properly. We will not be returning.
It was my first time going there, my friend really likes the place but I enjoyed their tiramisu. The girl that helped us was so sweet too. I would love to go back. Their pastries looook so delicious
