I’ve enjoyed Field House beers for years from my local BC Liquor Store, but visiting the Chilliwack location in person took things to another level. The brewery has a warm, welcoming vibe with a fantastic patio that invites you to stay a while.nnI had two sliders, the Proscuittini and the Pulled Pork, and both were outstanding. Full of flavour, perfectly portioned, and at a good price during, what they call, Goodlife Hour. I also tried the Whipped Feta with chips, which made for a great snack alongside my Sour. The beer, as expected, was top-notch.nnThe staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic. From the food and drink to the atmosphere, everything hit the mark. This is a must-visit spot in Chilliwack and well worth the trip.
Good beers, ok pizza, fairly slow cooking.nnNice spot in District 1881 for a cold beer. My friends and I came here for pizza and a beer. The beer was good and the pizza was just ok. The pizza was very very thin which is good if you like very thin pizza. However, it took a really long time to get our pizza which is surprising since it was just a standard pepperoni on very thin crust.nnThat said, I would only recommend this place strictly for their beers if you just want to drink in the area.
Yeah, you want to come here! Not just ‘cause it’s in Heritage 1881 Village that is a destination district that is worth the drive to Chilliwack; but because the beers are awesome and the food pretty good to boot! The beer-infused chicken sandwich is made with house baked bread, and the beer selection is broad enough with different styles that you’re bound to find something special to drink. I especially liked the “Eldorado” hazy IPA. The patio is heated, and blankets are provided, and the dining room is also very comfortable. Service was also superb. Can’t go wrong with coming here.
The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was lovely — we truly enjoyed that part.nHowever, we had a disappointing experience with how our group was handled when it came to billing.nnWe were 11 people in total, but we were not all together. One table had a family of 4 who were completely separate from us, and the other table had three couples our group.nnWe explained this very clearly multiple times to the server, even during the meal, that we were not dining as a single group.nWe were seated at two separate tables, did not interact with the other family during the meal, and even paid separately.nnDespite all of this, we were still charged a large-group surcharge on every bill — $13, $12, $7, and $6.nThis was frustrating and felt quite unfair, especially considering that the other family was not part of our party at all.nnWe loved the food, but the way this situation was handled really left a bad impression. It didn’t feel like fair or thoughtful hospitality.
Visited on a long weekend and stopped by for a beer and lunch. We got the Agave Passionfruit Sour, Blood Orange Belgian Table Beer, wood fired ribs and roasted wild mushroom pizza. The pizza dough was good and had the right amount of chewiness and the ribs were flavorful.
