We came here for lunch on a Monday noon time. Ordered oysters, mussels, clamps and fish & chips. Overall the food tastes was good, but the mussels and oysters size were not impressive at all. But the clams were in good size. May be the seasonal timing has some logic behind this. The batter of the cod was kind of too thick and the fish felt a bit dry. The restaurant vibe was good, though. Our server Chloe provided excellent service and the food came up in an efficient way. To be honest, the environment felt welcoming to us, really hope that the dishes quality could be more refined. We came from a coastal geo location, we enjoy seafood very much ;
Before heading back to Vancouver, we made a stop in Chilliwack to check out District 1881 and decided to have lunch at Bow & Stern. It was absolutely worth the stop. We loved the East Coast Lobster Dip and were honestly just shy about asking for more chips, lol. I’m also a big fan of clam chowder, so whenever I see it on the menu, I have to order it, and theirs did not disappoint.nFor mains, we shared the Seafood Linguini, which came in a very generous portion. My wife ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Taco and loved it as well. The ambiance was really nice too. Not noisy, with a modern industrial vibe.nIf you’re visiting District 1881, Bow & Stern is definitely worth checking out.
Bow and Stern is easily one of the best spots in Chilliwack! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The seafood is incredibly fresh and full of flavour — I especially recommend the Sable fish dish. Great drink selection too and everything came out quickly. A perfect place for a casual meal or a night out. Highly recommend!
We went to Bow & Stern for an early dinner and were lucky to catch happy hour. We ordered a dozen oysters, but four of them were way too small — honestly, they didn’t seem sellable even for happy hour. I mentioned it to the server, and she kindly brought out four extra. The other dishes were tasty and enjoyable.
We came to Chilliwack for a short fishing trip, and some guys at the local bait shop recommended Bow & Stern as the best seafood restaurant in town — and I think they were absolutely right! Our server, Billie, was amazing — friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive throughout the evening.nnThe food was truly impressive — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The oysters were incredibly fresh and perfectly served on ice with delicious sauces. The Cioppino was rich and full of perfectly cooked seafood, and the Arctic char had crispy skin and a delicate flavor that made it unforgettable.nnThe atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, yet classy, with great energy and warm service. We left completely satisfied and already planning to come back on our next visit. If you’re in Chilliwack and love seafood, this place is an absolute must-try!
