We got the blackfriday phone deal and we were waiting patiently for our ready-to-pickup email. After 2 weeks, one of us got an expiration email saying we missed our pickup and so the order was cancelled. We called the customer service and they said we had to go to the store to resolve this. The next day, we went to the store and Andrea was so amazing and patient throughout the process. After almost 2 hours of her going going back and forth with the customer service reps, she manage to get some headway with our problem. Even though we are still waiting for a verdict on our situation, I want to thank her for her great work in trying to make it right for us.
This is not about the store but the whope Fido company. 2 days ago, an agent named Bob tricked me with this offer of his and because of that I canceled my other provided and moved on to Fido. Today I received my simcard and I realized there’s no discount applied on my account. I’ve been on hold for 3 hours now; no manager, no on responding. One agent finally told me that they can’t have 2 discounts but Bob gave me an offer of 2 discounts for my wife and my simcards, and because of that I moved to Fido. Fido scammed me into buying their plan and now no one is responding. I’m chatting and phoning for more than 3 hours now and no manager has appologized or anything. If I don’t get my discount, I will sue the company for lying, and distributing false information and in fact Lies.
Fido shutdown on-line payment for prepaid phone service to actually force us to stop using prepaid phone. It's very difficult to just use the phone number provided for prepaid customer to change to any other plan. Not only long waiting time, and unable to validate my daily google mail address. The staff in this spot help me to migrate my more than 10 years prepaid phone number to a monthly plan. They met some 'stupid' system problem to validate my ID during the process, and managed to help me to get back my phone number in monthly plan. In the almost one hour time period, I observed that they also help other customer to solve their phone problem. No matter how little benefit they got back, their service are perfect. So my evaluation FIDO one-star. FIDO staff at this store, 5+ STAR.
I had a great experience at this store. I note these reviews are old so I thought it was important to give credit where credit is due. I went in because my phone had physical damage so I needed to pick up a new one right away. Firstly I called 4 different Fido dealers in Vancouver and none picked up the phone besides this location. I spoke to Sunny and he was fantastic. He was honest, knowledgeable and provided me with the info I needed. Since it was the only store who picked up the phone and yet the farthest from me I simply decided they picked up the phone and Sunny was polite and informative they were going to get my business. I went in Sunny had put the phone aside from me and basically they set me up. Frank and Andy and Sunny had the challenge of getting me set up with a new phone even though the screen was pretty much black and hard to see. These guys knew the phone inside out and somehow they got me all set up, updated and answered all my questions. I walked out with a new phone, screen protector and a case. I never felt pressured to buy anything additional. Sunny approached it with basically an attitude of is there anything else you may need or want to know. Since I didn't feel the pressure of "buying" anything, I did! A big thank you to Andy, Frank and Sunny a great group of guys, who know there stuff. I was there for a bit because they were transferring all my info over to my new phone so I didn't have to worry about anything. I grabbed a coffee let them do their stuff and came back and I was all set. Don't expect to be out of there in 10 mins, you need time to get all your stuff done if your getting a new phone but be rest assured your all set up and you can start using your phone with no issues. If I ever have any issues again or need something I'm going back to this store. Way to go guys, your a great team.
Previously I rated this location 1 star, but in the last few months it improved so well that I decided to rewrite this review. About a year ago there were a few gentlemen working here who provided utterly awful customer service. Since I come here every month, I noticed that the staff changed and they actually do care about their customers. In the last 5-6 occasions I was here, the customer service was quick, prompt and I felt as a valued customer. So good job Fido! Keep it up!
Customer service here is phenomenal! I came in with some complicated phone issue that required my previous carrier to do something on their end. Graeme was friendly, patient, understanding and amazingly helpful with making multiple phone calls for me, explaining my problem again and again to the other end of the call and doing all the magic that he did. I got my phone at another Fido location but came in here because I saw the 5-star reviews and the staff at this location indeed are the best. A few other staff members also helped me it was that complicated and they were all very nice and helpful. Thank you very much for all your help! I'm so grateful for the help Graeme gave me!
*This is not the store's fault, people that work here are usually helpful ad nice, but the company sucks... a lot. FIDO. Greedy bastards. Rates are too high. Cheap packages expire every couple of months and they are only getting more and more expensive by the year. The roaming and travel plans are a robbery. Once they forgot to activate my travel plan I spoke with them on the phone and I received an 800 CAD bill. Cancelling a contract is nearly impossible. Don't go to work the day you cancel; this takes several hours to be properly achieved. It can only be done on the phone ONLY ON THE FREAKING PHONE like in 1936. Get ready and take several deep breaths perhaps grab a beer and smoke a joint, too, this will be a horrible ride...Waiting times are over 40 minutes. After more than 40 minutes of bad quality audio and horrendous endlessly repeating songs, you finally get your call answered, just to be transferred several times add more waiting minutes. Then, BOOM! suddenly they hang up on you, so you call again, and wait, again and again. ** don't forget to breathe**. Once you get a stable call the reps give not so clear explanations about several charges. It takes F O R - E - V E R for them to estimate the final amount you have to pay i.e. it took me another 40 extra minutes. They try to charge every little second of your contract plus taxes. But let them do that, be patient, and wait a little more. The important thing is to get FIDO out of your life.
Ok, had terrible time trying to xfer from Prepaid to a plan online, and on phone. But these guys at the Fido store were fabulous! Yes, I caught them at a slow time, but even so, friendly and helpful, AND they got the job done quickly. Hat's off to Ravi, with some help from Ramon. A happy Fido customer will stay with this company. Well done. And don't let them tell you live person interaction is too costly.
Sunny was an outstanding expert today. He rescued me from my problems and gave me solutions that I could understand. Thanks a ton, Sunny!
