Faubion School

We are disappointed with Faubion Elementary. We were informed by the Health Department that a person in the kindergarten class had bacterial meningitis. It did not identity if the person affected was an adult or child. We are not blaming Faubion for that but as parents we would like to have notification as to how many children / adults ended up being affected, if it is an outbreak, for the school, should there be a quarantined period for the school. We are uncomfortable sending our children to school until we receive notification that there is no risk.

i am a former student of Faubion of 7th and 6th grade . fauboin school is my most favorate school ive ever been to i made all of my best friends their and they always had my back no matter what . the teachers there are not boring and the ecucation was not fast they took heir time and taught us how to do things in diffrent ways and they didnt drown us in work they have peple who help and people to talk to . the extra classes like art and spanish and libary and you were not forced to take a sertan class . i miss faubion school and all my friends , in faboin evryone is diffrent and special

As a 6th grader at this school, I have a few issues with it. The 6th grade is confined to one room for the majority of the time. This is unfair, as we are teased by the higher grades. We also only have one enrichment/elective, while the 7th and 8th graders get two, leaving us with an extra long math period. We were also promised P.E. every day, when we now only get it once. It is possible to be in P.E. 6 times a week by having it as your elective, but it is hard for 6th graders to get into it. The elementary schoolers get it twice a week.

Sadly, this school proved to be a big disappointment to my grandson. He was a new 5th grader this year and was bullied from the time he started this fall. Frequent talks with school administrators brushed this problem aside. Excuses were made...not enough playground supervisors, etc. The last episode left my grandson with another injury. The school never called the parents telling them their son had a big bump on his head caused by the bully pushing him into a metal bar on the playground before he even got in the school. The parents had to pull their son out of school leaving no alternative except homeschooling.
