Fat Jack's BBQ

Delicious! Don't forget to check out their daily specials, you can get it a lot of food for a very good price! Other than that the food can be pretty pricey, but it is definitely worth it! I think it's delicious! It is as close to Southern BBQ as you can get in Upstate New York. The sweet tea is not great, and their drink selection is really just a very small soda fountain, and then a whole bunch of bottle drinks in the fridge. So that part is not excellent, and not really worth it. I would suggest having your own drinks at home, and just nothing there to pick up a platter of food. But absolutely fantastic BBQ! Definitely not diet food!

The barbecue was horrible. This was me and my husband first time going to Fat Jack's BBQ. We wanted to try something different because we was in the area, so we stopped and placed order for a 1/2 slab of ribs. Before, I place my order, I asked the cashier if the ribs was smoked and cooked over a smoked grilled. She says yes, and she stated all of their ribs are smoke for at least 13 hours. I was very excited, because we have been looking for a new barbecue place near Syracuse. Because, we have been fans of Famous Dave for years and they recently closed all of their New York restaurants. So, thats why we were looking for new barbecue place. So when, I say the rib had no smoke or grill taste. Ugh! I'm upset 😡The ribs taste like it had been boiled in a pot and placed in the oven. We won't be back, she had no reason to lie to us about the ribs being smoked over and open grill.

We ordered a variety of meats and every one was tough and dry. The ribs, rubber, the chicken, cardboard. I received some pulled pork that was nothing but chunks of fat. The place had no service and way, way over priced. I will never go there again.

Possibly the best BBQ in NY. Prices are very reasonable. Portions are huge. The place is clean and welcoming. Try the crispy critter!

I wanted to like it because I love BBQ and, I hoped for a good place nearby. Unfortunately it was mediocre at best. The pulled pork and sausage was good. The pork belly and macaroni were less than okay and the mashed potatoes and gravy were bad. They really need a better drink selection. The spicy sauces need to be spicier especially if your going to call it Texas hot BBQ. Uninspiring.
