Love going to Doug's the dish is always cooked great except tonight there was not any onion rings or shrimp cocktail and chowder and we always get all of these....real big disappointment but I ordered the baked beans ANF much to my delight they were outstanding. So I did enjoy my dinner but cannot believe they were unprepared for the customers with three different dishes unavailable!!!!!

We went to Doug's in Cortland, the portion sizes were big and the service was amazing, especially the seating hostess who sat us,next to the fish tank so our baby could see the fish and she pointed out the mermaid to the kids - how thoughtful. The downside to our visit, the available selections. Traditional fish fry usually offers breaded or beer batter and choice of potsto- baked,mashed or FRIES and the same for side dish Mac salad, potato salad or slaw. Finally the tartar sauce was missing the main ingredient, tartar. It was just relish and mayo. Aside from that, I would have given 5 stars

I ordered the fish sandwich and onions rings. It was great food, (I have always enjoyed it) but I was very sick later that night. Hit and miss as per bacteria with all establishments, but I will not return.

Love the onion rings. Gonna bring my own lemon next time — their lemon juice packets are more like lemonade.

The best place in the area to get fish. The shrimp and scallops are good too. Doug's has also added Grilled Salmon & Lobster Rolls.
