Needed some good old home-cooked food. Finished my laundry and tried this place that's next door to the Soap n Suds Laundromat. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I had the basic breakfast eggs, bacon, sausage with toast If you are looking for a breakfast lunch place, then I recommend here. Reasonably priced. $16-$20 Parking out front.
Nice cafe off the main drag through Parksville. Across the street from the old QF. Stopped in for breakfast. Highly recommend. Very clean restaurant with high Covid protocols. Food is delicious. Prepared quite quickly for what you're getting. The staff were friendly, and quick. I'll certainly come back.
Went here because the google reviews seemed decent and wanted to support local. Food was really not good. Soggy toast, Under-cooked hashbrowns, Cheapest of ingredients and smelled like Cigarettes. Won't be going back. Waitress was friendly. And before you ask... their Eggs Benny does not have Hollandaise sauce. Not sure how this place gets a 4.1 on Google.
The waitress was nice, I had a Reuben sandwich which was very good. My partner had the potato pancakes 12 dollars and they came with small amounts of sour cream and applesauce. There wasn't enough sauce for all of the pancakes so we asked for more and the waitress brought us additional sauce. It wasn't until we recieved the bill that we discovered that the combined roughly 30ml of sour cream and applesauce cost us 4 dollars 1/3 of the price of the dish bringing the total to 16 dollars, which in my mind is quite a bit of money for some frankly quite soggy potato pancakes. It would have been nice if we at least got a heads up that there would be a charge. I will reiterate that my sandwich was good.
Terrible! breakfast! Really, really poor quality ingredients…even the coffee was awful! The service was very unwelcoming as well. The server was pretty clear she didn’t want to be there from the moment we walked in the door. Avoid this place!
So gross. Place seems dirty amd it was insanely hot in there. My French toast was 11.95 and the only thing I got was two small pieces and oh boy it was old bread. It was so gross. The waitress was wonderful amd hubs said his breakfast was ‘ok’. Nothing spectacular. Also, I think this picture sums up my experience. I had to wrap a napkin around the syrup bottle because it was so sticky and dirty. It was very cheap syrup too.
We always stop at the Farmhouse whenever we are in Parksville. Great food in a friendly atmosphere, with a plethora of novelty salt and pepper shakers.Food: 5/5
New to Parksville Thought wed try out local restaurant. First impression there was no no one in about 10am even the staff seemed to be missing, waited quite some time before one person showed up. The Breakfast was very poor the was Coffee weak so called pan fries were really undercooked boiled potatoes shown the grill Bacon very undercooked, I should have ordered an omelet. On the upside they didn't charge for gluten free bread for my wife had to ask for second coffee thinking it might be fresh pot The same terribl, will not be going back.
Great service! Food was yummy, solid portions. Just a very cute cafe! All you need for a simple breakfast!
So so expensive for what you get.. food was soggy and unseasoned : We recognized the containers in the kitchen to be the Noname brand but everything was priced like it was made fresh in-house.
