I usually enjoy shopping at Farm Boy for its excellent selection and quality products. However, during my visit yesterday evening around 6–7 p.m., I had an unpleasant experience at the cashier. The cashier, who appeared to be an Indian male with a beard and glasses, was quite rude and lacked basic courtesy. He scanned my items very quickly, tossing them to the other side without care, and spoke loudly and impatiently during the payment process.nnI believe maintaining a polite and respectful attitude toward customers is essential, as it reflects the store’s values. I hope Farm Boy management looks into this matter to ensure a more pleasant experience for customers.
You can argue that this is just another Farm Boy, but this location really is so much fun. There are little scenes set up everywhere with noises and music. And, there is an elevated mechanical model train that rolls around the store. It’s so much fun! And of course, there’s a nice little seating section two levels for people to enjoy a quick snack. They have a rotating pizza option at the prepared food bar. And of course, you can find all the cool in store Farm Boy brands and some local Ottawa options here.nnGive it a try!
Today 04/13/2025 got some bakery items that were supposed to be fresh however when I ate some! it's clear that it was made a few days ago! Shame on you.nThis farm boy location does not seem to be very clean when it comes to food. Today I got baked in cookies and ended up with a hair inside, 3 months ago got food rice and veggies and ended up having a severe diarrhea.nI don't understand what's going on.nI went to this location less than 10 times that makes it 2 times out of 10 there was an issue.nIf a food inspector from the government comes here this location is going to be closed for sure.nIt's not fair for the client to pay for the product and end up with a hair in the food or with any other issue.
I always enjoy shopping at Farm Boy – the store is clean, well-organized, and full of fresh, high-quality products. The bakery section is one of my favourites, and a big reason for that is Renée. She is always so friendly, welcoming, and ready to help with a smile. Whether it’s finding the perfect loaf of bread or recommending something new to try, she goes out of her way to make the experience pleasant. It’s rare to come across someone who makes you feel so valued as a customer, but Renée does just that. She truly adds to the positive atmosphere at Farm Boy, and I always look forward to seeing her when I visit.
I loved this Farm Boy, and I thought all Farm Boys were just like this one. The staff and managers were so nice and helpful to find what you were looking for. It is a shame that the others aren't like this one. Feel lucky you shop at this one.
