Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que

Stayed at the Guest House, and they delivered to our room. I got the 6 short rib meal with corn and fries. The ribs were dry and tough in spots. The corn on the cob tasted like it had been soaking in water for a while. The fries were good, and the corn bread muffin was excellent. They were prompt on service, and they made sure we had utensils and napkins. My daughter got the Cod platter, and the fish was overcooked and dry. All in all a bit of a disappointment.

Oink oink moo... I do love some BBQ! I had to give 4 stars as the 3 meat lunch plate is such a good value. However, they do get a bit greedy if you choose the ribs, burnt ends and brisket. They up charge $1 per item for those three. Tisk tisk FD. They decor is typical FD, but it is fun and inviting. It's fun to look at all old stuff, even if they are mostly replicas. Now the food... not half bad, even if the burnt ends were a bit over-cooked. The brisket was too but not as bad. The ribs were quite nice and I noticed most of the folks dining in there were eating ribs. Good choice! The service was on par and everything went smoothly. I'd go there again for sure with ribs on the menu! Mmmm doggy, get ya some...

I was surprised that the food was so good. I have visited Rochester restaurants before under recommendation, only to hate feeling like I wasted money. The roasted chicken was delicious and my husband enjoyed his pulled shoulder sandwich. The macaroni was the best I have tasted in a while.

This was by far the worst ribs I've ever had. They were extremely dry and had no flavor at all. Very chewy as well. Did not finish. Fries, mashed potatoes, and corn bread were fair. This was just a pickup. The server who helped me was nice.

Excellent food and staff! Restaurant was very nice and recently remodeled. Staff was very nice and worked well with my food allergy letting me read all the ingredients. I got a black bean burger that was really yummy! Very happy with our experience here. Will be back!

We enjoyed our dinner at Dave's. The service was good along with the food. Would recommend.

I placed an order for rib tips and a piece of silk pie from Baker’s Square that’s offered on their menu. I called and asked for a manager. I told him the rib tips were excellent and you get a lot for the money. However, the slice of pie was rancid. He proceeds to tell me that I would not be getting a refund, WHICH was NOT why I called. And he went on to say other customers were ordering the pie with no complaints. I’ll certainly make sure never to step foot in the that restaurant again. With the prices that are being charged, a simple sorry about your experience would have been. Plenty of other BBQ places who treat customers better.

We had take out from here. Food was classic famous Dave's. Pretty good bbq but everything tastes and smells the same. I've had better but not in Rochester. We got the all American feast for about $74 all in.

I absolutely love the flow of everything inside. The menu was easy to read. The food came a lot faster than I expected. The quality of food was excellent, and the wait staff was the best I've ever had.
