Hard to get an appointment. The lady who answers the phone acts like her job is a major inconvenience to her. Emotionless, cold and uncaring would be 3 words I would use to describe the vibe given over the phone. It always seems much better when you go in but holy cow, the lady that answers the phone really needs a hug or something. I'm sorry for whatever it is she is going through but perhaps there's a different area she can work in the office where she doesn't make people feel like a bother for requesting medical care.

Had an appointment booked for 2 months in advance which I was looking forward to. I knew i was going to be late for my appointment so i called 30 minutes before asking if it was okay receptionists said yes it was fine, i drove and was 15-20 ish minutes late and they refused me service and treated me like I was stupid. Front desk ladies were extremely rude, using inappropriate tones and seemingly letting their own personal issues effect patients. I did not feel like i was taken seriously by this clinic. I then booked an appointment so I could get in a month later. So, I called a few weeks after my original appt, confirming the appointment they booked for me when i missed my appointment and the lady proceeded to use an angry tone and tell me there was no appointment booked, and i explained myself and she continued to use an angry tone with me and treat me like my health didn’t matter. I remained calm and I told her it must’ve been a miscommunication between the receptionists and i was extremely disappointed in the service i received. Will be getting a new family doctor because the front desk has absolutely zero compassion for the patients and has horrible customer service skills. I am very disappointed in this clinic and will not recommend it to anyone.
I don’t know what the doctors are going through right now but Dr won’t see me at all because I had to miss an appointment because both my son and I had covid. We got sick Sunday and Monday was our appointment. Admittedly I was 20 mins late phoning in to cancel for a early morning appointment. Been going there for years, sometimes twice a month, missing maybe 3 appointments through those years. Never seen him before, as my doctor is on leave and he took over their patients. Absolutely in disbelief that that’s how I was treated. I’ll never go back, and I’m switching my family doctor. What kind of doctor does that?!
Always disappointed by how rude the reception and some nursing staff are.
The doctors are amazing, but the receptionists could use some lessons in manners and service! No the phone should not be answered with sarcasm as if you would rather be anywhere but have to answer the phone, it's you job! And if you need more information try a direct question rather than "what?!". And if you really can't learn how to be polite, find something else to do.
The doctors have always been great but could not say the same for the receptionists. I always feel like I’m a burden and today was even worse. I’m standing in front of the receptionist asking her questions but she tells me she has 5 people on hold so can’t help me... that’s your job! Brutal
Excellent facility, friendly staff, very minimal wait times for appointments. Dr. Sveen, new to the clinic, is wonderful!
Lacombe is still in need of more doctors and clinics, I after 5 years have a family doctor and very happy now.
Dr. Van Niekerk and his nurse are great!
