The Central Alberta Pain and Rehabilitation Institute (CAPRI) is a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to helping those with chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) or orthopaedic pain conditions. We offer diagnostic medical assessments and MSK ultrasound. CAPRI also offers a variety of treatment options to our patients including stem cell and platelet rich plasma therapies. Here at the CAPRI we are dedicated to helping relieve pain that comes from muscles, bones and joints.

Extremely grateful to be back at Capri Clinic, where they change lives! RFN has given me back my life and every staff member there is so knowledgeable, caring, sympathetic, kind and happy! I refer to them as my miracle workers and can’t thank them all, enough, for everything they do! They offer expert opinions, treatment options, pain relief, hope and quality of life. I can never thank them enough and appreciate every single one of them…. Eternally grateful and can’t wait to be back again, thank you !!
It was fine up until i had to talk with the doctor. I find it really unprofessional and disrespectful when the doctor talks over their patients, and doesn't give them time to answer the questions or does but doesn't let the patient explains, cuts them off by talking over them and proceed with the next question. I also do not like it when the doctor made assumptions based on what I was saying, and not letting me clarify. I'm there to explain my issue because my family doctor thought it was beneficial, i did not go to just be disrespected and talked over. I frankly feel very disrespected at how I was treated in this clinic.
It is extremely important to my quality of life to have ablations done on both sides of my back. My trust in Dr Burnham is 100%.I come from Lethbridge to have treatment. He gave me my life back in 2015 by doing ablation treatment. I am thankful to have found this place and doctor.
This place is terrible. My back is so bad i can hardly walk and am losing feeling in my left leg on top of horrible pain from several herniated disc. All they can recomend is joining a class to help me cope with feelings that my oain causes. Why not treat my spinal problems so I can work and have a normal.productive life. They seem to think everyones issues are all in their heads. Some of us dont sit on welfare and complain about all our ouchys.....some of us have serious problems that greatly affect our lives and we need them addressed . I just read their response and have more to add. I havent recieved any treatments. Only 1 initial visit where they reviewed my medical records and stated that my dics were herniated and pushing on my spinal cord as well something near my pelvis had a tear in it and something in my blood work showed major inflammation. The lady i spoke to today said because the injection they gave me into my spine never worked then they cant do anything for me and can only offer counselling......THEY HAVE NEVER GIVEN ME ANY I INJECTIONS ....EVER. All they ever did was send me for a bone scan and never call me back after i left numerous messages. The fact that they have it documented that they gave me injections when they never did is very upsetting ......quacks at best.
DR Burnham is phenomenal unfortunately the receptionists are not knowledgeable when it comes to answering fairly simple questions...too make your visit comfortable and anxiety free. Please have a chat with front end staff on proper patient staff relations Thanks
Excellent service and knowledgeable, experienced doctors. I've had a PRP procedure done before, and many 'clinics' don't use ultrasound when performing PRP and prolotherapy injections which is a huge no-no. They also only injected one area, where at the Capri Clinic, they made several injections in/around the inflamed areas. Highly recommend their team!
I feel like Dr. Burnham gave me a new life. Radio Frequency procedure made me pain free from a herniated disc in my back. Could not be more thankful
I found Dr Playfair a little hard to follow but seems nice enough...Asks a lot of questions many many times so it's a little worrisome that he doesn't know what he's doing or maybe that's part of his process. I am unsure.
Dr D Playfair is a little scatter brained been there 6 times for chronic neck pain no relief .Then when I go the next time he asks me what did we do the last time don't you write this stuff down .Then says I need a bone scan wait a month and a half no bone scan phone for appt the receptionist says didn't anybody phone you a know go to see him he says a bone scan won't help anyway . Tells me to come back when I have pain and he will inject me with cortisone that don't work and then says maybe I need to see a surgeon for what I don't know what is causing the pain is what I want to know . I WILL NOT GO BACK THIS PLACE SUCKS
Very caring, effective doctors who work to help you with pain. Covid safety protocols are in effect. Felt very safe and heard.
