Wasn't really a fan of this shawarma. Chicken texture was odd and no crispy edges which is vital for a good shawarma. I would definitely skip the garlic sauce as it was a not to strong on the raw garlic flavor.
Tried it for the first time and I definitely see myself coming back! The most delicious shawarma I have ever had! I had the wrap and my husband had the plate and he was quite impressed with the portions and flavour. Finally a shawarma place that doesn't give you the fatty pieces. Authentic and home made : the owner is super nice as well.

My husband and I are so pleased with the service and the delicious food we had at Falafel King. The gentleman who served us took the time to explain the dishes. We both intended to buy only shawarmas but we also purchased fries, a delicious soup highly recommend, and a large jar of figs I think some sort of jam. He was so kind to explain how to eat the soup and gave us pitas chips and a slice of lemon. While we waited for our food the man invited us to sample some jams and they were delicious. Excellent experience! Thank you so very much!
I cannot say enough about this place - Falafel King is an unbeatable value for your money with fresh, home-made ingredients, with wonderfully welcoming owners who make you feel like family each and every time you visit. The chicken shawarma is 100% white meat so tender it melts in your mouth, and the portions, unbeatable. Do yourself a favour and come try it - you'll be a customer for life!
Authentic Falafel made fresh before your eyes. Fantastic prices!! Chicken Shawarma is 100% white meat with no added skin/filler. This makes it much healthier and better quality, but a bit drier. They regularly shower the chicken with sauce when cooking, which helps. Good wholesome place with no frills. Friendly when you talk to them. Great value!!
In October 2018 I have happen to come across this establishment on Lakeshore. Being a big fan of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine I thought about giving this place a try and was not disappointed. This little joint can literally be described as a Hidden Gem. Upon my first visit I was warmly greeted by the owner, including the rest of the staff and upon reviewing their menu proceeded to order a chicken shawarma warp. The ingredients were fresh and portions were very reasonable for the price. The owner also offered me a sample of their falafel and rice-stuffed grape leaves which were extremely delicious and fulfilling. Overall my first experience was outstanding. Upon subsequent visits, I was dealt with in a consistent and friendly manner. The ingredients were always fresh and portions were great. Also, their compact menu features some items that an average or franchised joint does not offer. Hands down, this place is the #1 ”Under The Radar” shawarma joint in Mississauga that definitely deserves all 5 Stars! Thank you to everyone at The Falafel King for great customer experience each and every time!
The BEST and FRESHEST shawarma and falafel in the city! I have been searching high and low for fresh, good quality ingredients middle eastern food. Everything including all the sauces are made fresh in house and you can really taste the difference. The portions are extremely generous and the prices are unbeatable. The 'King' and his 'Queen' are both very friendly and have excellent customer service! If you like shawarma and falafel do yourself a favour and try this place out.
We live steps away from Flalafel King and we stopped by yesterday to try it out. The Falafel sandwiches were excellent and we bought a dozen Falafel singles to take home and make our own sandwiches as we always do. Joseph is very hospitable and we enjoyed talking to him. my wife works steps away and she will be coming there for lunches often. Great place ... highly recommended.
We ordered a falafel and beef shawarma sandwich. The restaurant is clearly family run, the owner was very polite. He prepared our sandwiches in a manner that was so different than the rushed way most chains do it. I asked the girl if they had beef because I didn’t see it on the skewer and she replied we fry it fresh it tastes better that way. The owners encouraged me to taste their turnip pickles which I liked he informed me all their pickles and sauces are made by them not bought. The falafel sandwich is delicious, fresh and light. My husband enjoyed the beef sandwich which was juicy the meat was not dry as it is with some shawarma joints. While I waited the owner asked me if I liked chicken and then offered me a generous sample of the chicken shawarma meat with garlic sauce. He informed me it was white meat, the shawarma meat was juicy and delicious. It made me think why didn’t I get the chicken shawarma? we will be back for sure
