Never judge a book by its cover. Once you get past the exterior of this building , the inside is well organized , always clean , easy to map your way around, with reasonable prices.nnThe Staff of the Langford Fairways are my favourite, especially the very kind and always helpful folks in the Produce section. The produce is top notch. Always well stocked , a very clean and organized section , with a wide variety and selection of produce that are generally BC or local.nnThis is a great little local neighbourhood grocer. One stop shop with 5 friendly Service !
I had my quick shopping today and planning to cook fresh meat. I like Fairway Market because they always have a very good deal like $ off. I normally see to it that the cashier punch in the discount. But today I had my son with me and I didn't pay attention to what the cashier is doing coz I like most of the cashiers here, they're so nice especially Suzanne. But to my surprise when I got home, the total of $7 off from the steaks weren't accounted. It was very disappointing coz I'm planning to cook them right away. To my disappointment, I went back to the store to inform the cashier about the mistake. It seems she was on her way home but there was no sign of apologies after I told her the mistake. She just rush to the other cashier's till and refunded the amount in cash. Due to wasted time on my part, I just wanted to get a ready to eat food instead and asked for a total refund of the meats insteadof the just the difference. She was so unfriendly dealing with me and told me it will take too much time! But I insisted. And I found out she was a head cashier and was even using other cashier's log in account when she scanned all my purchases. I was told her name is Brenda. Unfriendly head cashier. You better watch her every time she scan your items so you don't waste your time and appetite.
I am so tired of this fairway being out of stock of so many items every time we go there: never any turkey necks, no small sized spring roll wrappers, no gochugaru powder/flakes, and no sichuan powder just peppers.nnI wished their bigger store in Langford never closed as there were so many more options.nnCan’t wait for H-mart to open so I can stop going to fairway.
Terrible store. Have had to shop there and so many of my experiences are bad. From signs being in the wrong spots, mice eat into the bakery items, wayyyy over inflated prices and the staff are less than useless.
I recently visited this Fairway to return my empty bottles for the 10-cent deposit, but I was disappointed with my experience. Despite having a receipt that clearly showed I paid the deposit, the store refused to accept the bottles because they said they don’t sell those specific brands. This was particularly frustrating because the store is conveniently located near my house, and I was hoping to make the return process easier. It’s unfortunate that they don’t have a more accommodating policy, especially for customers who are trying to be environmentally responsible. I hope you will consider revising their return policy to be more customer-friendly in the future.
