Great cool pool which is actually very warm. We were able to play in this pool for hours surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hot pools with the cold water flowing through the middle is fantastic. We went on a pretty cool week in July but it didn't matter as the water was warm and the crowds were small. The mini golf and volleyball courts are also fun. The rooms are a bit dated but still clean and nice. Great place for a week of relaxation.
We went here with family and stayed in one of the one bedroom cabins with our sons.nnCabin: Decent and as advertised in general, though everything is starting to look a little dated and the rooms are NOT spacious. The cabins are on septic and when people were doing dishes or having showers there was a STRONG sewage smell. Rooms were not cheap, so this is pretty disappointing.nProperty: Inside the main lodge is OK, but the grounds seem to be in a constant state of repair and looking rough around the edges. Tarps, lumber, half done landscaping projects... we stayed in the first week of August for goodness sake! You think the landscaping projects would be done, but no.nPool: No more diving boards. What a miss for the kids. They had diving boards for the prior 50 years I believe, but they are now gone. Kids got bored pretty quick, especially the teens, as this was one of their favourite parts of the pools. As with any public pool that gets high use, expect gobs of floating hair and the obligatory band-aids.nService: Housekeeping, Front Desk and Hala at the coffee bar were wonderful.
The hotel was a last-minute stop on my way through from Edmonton. We arrived late off of Highway 93 and booked online on the website. We arrived and had just enough time to go to the pool for an hour but couldn't get anything to eat other than vending machine snacks. We got to bed late but had a great sleep. The room was on the 6th floor actually 3rd floor. We went to the pool in the morning. The views were nice, and the pool was warm. The weather was good and everyone seemed friendly. I just think that for the price of the rooms there should be more options for food and activities. Otherwise, it has a lot of potential if some small changes are made to improve the resort.
Honestly I can’t decide whether I like these hot springs more than radium’s.nnSome nice features of this pool are:nIt’s nice how the cold pools are right next to the hot tub so if someone from your group gets too hot or cold, you guys can still talk.nnI also love how there’s a lot of lawn chairs to suntan on.nnThe change rooms don’t stink.nnI wish the hot tub was bigger, I like that about radium’s pool.
We visit at least once per year. Staff are outstanding. Love the location. Beautiful and relaxing. Noticed a significant improvement in the choices and quality of food in Bear's Paw Grill. Usually look for other options because the menu seemed to be quite limited. This time we stayed 3 nights and chose to eat at the resort all 3 nights. Very good! See you again soon!
