Love the food & the atmosphere. Very low key & casual, and prices are very reasonable. The food is fantastic & the servers are super friendly. It does tend to get crowded, though, and sometimes you have to wait awhile for a table. Still worth the trip!

Best French Onion soup in Anchorage! ⭐️ Also love their Salmon spread too. Great for lunch, warm and vibrant atmosphere in the evening, and busy late-night crowd. Classic drinks available on request.

This is the best place in anchorage for bar food. Halibut chunks are probably the best in the city at any price. Same goes for oysters and clams. Love the big chunk of cheese with crackers on the bar, and the soup of the day is usually wicked good. The roast beef sandwich is made from an in-house prepared prime rib... No prepackaged anything here. Seating is pretty limited, and it does get busy in the evening, where you may find yourself standing there holding a beer waiting for a seat with 40-50 of your new closest friends... It is worth dealing with the crowd, or go at off times, but by all means try this place.

The obvious downside for anyone who's ever been to F-St. is that it's difficult to get seating because a) there isn't much to begin with and b) it's a popular dive. But it's worth it. I don't remember the name of our server, I wish I did, but this was the beginning of August, it was a busy night, we were sitting at the kitchen top, and she did a fantastic job at keeping us drank and fed, and remembering who ordered what in a bar row full of friends and acquaintances. The beer was good, but the food was AMAZING. Boyfriend got the crab sando, I got the special which was pasta with scallops. I only had one bite of his crab sandwich and I have to say that it's still one of the best sandwiches I ever tasted in my life. The chef who made our food was fast and entertaining, and the kitchen staff looked like they were having a good time (which is not their obligation, but it's always nice to see!). Definitely going back the next chance we get. Oh, if you people at F-St. are reading this, I got drunk and left my bike bag hanging under the kitchen top while I moved to the main bar after paying out with our server who, thinking I had left, moved my bag for me to the employees area at the back. Just another reason she's awesome.

From Seattle and will come back every time I am in Anchorage. Fighting for a seat is a ALWAYS a good sign at any place! And F Street Station is worth it. Bar cheese...Tillamook cheddar complementary with drinks had me sold. But the fresh seafood and friendly staff will keep me coming back. And making fun of "Texas size" is funny too! You need to come here! Stop pondering decisions and GO! You won't be let down!
