Expressions Ladies Consignment

Great consignment store! I’ve visited Expressions dozens of times over the last few years and almost always find something here. The prices are excellent and the vast majority of items are in like-new condition. Also, the consignment process is clear and simple. The one thing I think the Expressions team can improve is their customer service. Based on previous reviews, it seems I’m not the only customer who thinks this. Some of the team members are friendly and welcoming, but other times I kind of feel like I’m bothering them when I drop off items to consign. There is one employee who, based on my interactions with her, is consistently unfriendly and almost rude. I encourage the owner to consider hiring people with excellent customer service skills and coaching her existing employees to develop their customer service skills. Just simple things like smiling, being friendly and welcoming when a customer enters the store, taking the time to answer customers’ questions, and not being short with customers / not giving the impression that a customer is a nuisance. Also, please consider adding magnets or something to the fitting room curtains, or replace the existing curtains with wider curtains. The curtains don’t properly cover the entire entry to the individual fitting rooms and I’m always worried I may be accidentally flashing someone! I’ll continue shopping here and encouraging others to do the same, due to the great selection and prices.

Awesome consignment store, I went with a couple friends and we all found some great finds. The store has high quality clothes and they are very well organized. I would say the only downfall is their hours. They are only open from 10am-5pm Tues-Friday and are closed Sunday/Monday so for most working folks the only opportunity to get there is Sat. I will definitely be back though and hopefully they will extend their hours! :

Big variety, lightly used clothing with great prices on name brand product. Always check here first when looking for dresses as prices are very reasonable. Recommend to friends n family members.

I shop here often because you can find lots of good quality pieces for less. I have sold a few items as well. The customer service is decent. I don't like being chased and hovered when shopping so I don't mind being left alone. I am not sure what other customers expect. It is annoying that they do not have a washroom facility. I find it takes a long time to find something that fits so the use of a washroom would be very helpful. I also wish the change rooms have magnets to properly close the curtains. It's pretty easy to accidently flash the patrons in the store. I have had a few embarrassing incidents.

The best consignment store in the city! It is always clean, and well organized and they only take brand names. I love the size of the store, it is not overwhelming to check out everything. I don't understand the bad reviews like they don't have a washroom. Tim Hortons is just across the store. Also, they can't take everything if people would like to consign with them. I shop there all the time with my friend. I highly recommend this store, also Molly Marie's beside them. They have nice shoes, bags and jewelry.

I’ve been coming to expressions for many years, I’ve brought all kinds of clothing and I understand some things don’t get accepted. What I do not appreciate is being treated rudely, this lady handed my bag back taking a few items looking in disgust. The customer service is extremely poor. The older lady at the cash is so pleasant, so warm and greets you in the most loving way with so much knowledge. The other staff treat customers like garbage, it’s unacceptable. We are supporting a small business but being treated horribly.

Prices are decent & selection is good, but the owner needs some work on customer service skills. She makes it appear like we are inconveniencing her by coming in to SUPPORT her store! Her staff isn't very friendly with the exception of a young lady with long blond hair but I only see her very occasionally on a Saturday. She's the only one that makes me feel welcome.

Hate complaining because I’m a Karen but I bring in practically new, brand name, clean stuff and they rarely take anything. I’m not bothering with them anymore.

This is one of three stores in this complex this is the lady's consignment store , they also have a lady's accessory store, and a men's only consignment store pretty much all next to each other. I find the prices are great and the clothes are all high end and in great almost new condition. One if my most favorite hidden gems I found this year. It's great you can go shopping with the wife and their is a little shop for everyone. Best used clothing shops in the S.e of Calgary, Hands Down

They pretend to be picky but they have lots of old tattered Aritzia items with holes and stains in them and won’t take any of my like new aritzia/lululemon/rails etc. Items that are in perfect condition. Very clearly just selling their own/friends stuff. Also very unforthcoming as they have on multiple occasions just kept the money in my account for themselves. A consignment store to avoid selling and buying from.
