Excelsior Hôtel Spa Sainte-Adèle

Only negative is the rooms are old - need to be refreshed. There not lots of positive. Bed is comfy. There are outdoor jacuzzi ( ask for a robe at front desk) , indoor pool and jacuzzi. There’s even a tennis court, and a piano. Very cute lobby. Rate is very reasonable. Staff very friendly. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. I won’t use theirs. There’s a fridge in the room. There’s a microwave by the reception area. Very handy. Very close to go kart, ski area, Tanger outlet and kids play area.

Nice place with some caveats. Heating in room was not working. Just the baseboard heater in bathroom gave us some heat during the night. The Amadeus restaurant in the hotel was not as good as it once was. The supper was disappointing. The veal was not edible. But the service was good. How could you go wrong with breakfast! Well when the waitress servers others that come after you that is frustrating. Then the eggs were cold. The potatoes were mushy instead of being crispy! You get the drift.

My wife and i stayed as an overnight guest. We were told to call the morning of our stay and make sure our room was ready early because of the treatments we had scheduled, we did this and the room wasnt ready until about 45 minutes later. One of the treatments we had scheduled had been booked at the same time as a different client so we got bumped to the next day. The room we were in did not have working air conditioning (they did bring us a portable unit though). The robes they gave us were old and brittle and tore for both my wife and myself. We had requested (and been told when we made our room reservations) dinner reservations at their restaurant for 6, when arriving at 6 we were then told our reservations were not until 6:30 and the waitress "could take us but we would served last". Not once did any staff check to see how the meal was, and the entire time we could hear the waitress berating the other staff. The reasons why this is not a 1 star review is the food at the restaurant was really good, and the treatments we got were really nice.

Ok hotel. No elevator (hotel with 3 levels + ss) No microwave on the rooms No catel in the rooms No hot water in the rooms (it may takes up to 7 mins to have hot water) No heater in the bathroom. Don't forget to take the remote control of the AC from the reception. Staff are really not flexible on anything, rude and not professional. The hotel charge 15$ per person per night for any extra person in the room. Bath robes are too used and some have holes. The indoor pool and spa area is fine but water are not hot enough, showers are not hot enough (again you have to wait few mins to get hot water in the showers). The kids had fun in the pool but of course, jumping and laughing were not very welcomed by other guests. It says you can accommodate kids but rules are, no jump, no run, no noises, no screaming...brief no laughing. The checkout out was like: thank you see you again. I asked for a detailed bill...yes sure...but I never got one.

The location is very nice and clean. The staff was also nice and the only issue we had was with the heating in the room that was either not working either was not very intuitive. Otherwise a nice à warm location. Recommend.
