Finally got around to check out this bakery, expecting to find more sweets, I ended coming across their perogies! Highly recommend these, I got the roast beef, potato and onions and the feta cheese with spinach. To my surprise they had a tres leches dessert, this delicacy is rare to find here in London. don't expect a bubbly customer service from the owners, and that's okay with me as long as the products are fresh and they taste great, wanted to share that since I read the last review. It's a mom and pop bakery and I want to give them credit where it's due.
First time back here since before the lockdown. Was pleasantly surprised that this hole in the wall establishment has not changed. Cabbage rolls are still fat and have that home made flavour and quality. Perogies are among the best in the city. Owned and operated by family who care about their customers and their food. Prices are more than fair They have take out mainly .
Small shop out front but... Lots of different types of perogies. Cabbage rolls. Some desserts. Pricing is fair. No credit. Debit or cash
A craving for perogies & a google search led me to this place. What a great find! We picked up 2 dozen frozen perogies, a dozen cabage rolls, a stuffed pepper, 2 eclairs & 1 Friday hot lunch special for $43 & some change on the total order. Cooked 1/2 that order for supper tonight & couldn't be more satisfied. It was exactly the homestyle comfort meal we were looking for with great flavour without the labour & 1/2 the cleanup at a very reasonable cost. Without a doubt we will return regularly for the items we purchased today, and I'm excited to try many more of the beautiful looking foods they have.
We purchased two lunch specials: one with a cabbage roll, pierogies, and garden salad. The other, a meat and rice meatball with cooked vegetables. Everything tasted incredible. I always wanted to like cabbage rolls but couldn’t until I tried these ones; best cabbage rolls I’ve ever had. The garden salad surprised me the most with how fresh the ingredients tasted. The meat ball and vegetables was also delicious, especially the eggplant. My only disappointment is that I don’t know how to make this myself. We’re already planning when to order from here again.
Great bakery and lunch spot! The food is always fresh and tasty. The lemon blueberry scones are amazing and the baked pierogies are my personal favourite. Prices are very reasonable for quality food. Highly recommended!
Friendly service. Product is professionally styled and of excellent quality. Variety is smartly and efficiently thought out. The perogies are simply amazing - possibly the best in the city, a secret delight. Bakery closes at 5:00PM so try to be there early rather than last minute if you want a meal. Pastries are superb. Location is tiny with no seating inside so it is ideal for pick up or eating on the picnic table outside.
This is an excellent little bakery. The lady who works there owner? is always super friendly. Great lunch deals like the stuffed pepper or sandwich combo. The meats and vegetables and very fresh and the breads are awesome. Check this place out if you're in the area and want a quick bite or some good bread to take home.
Owners were time & time again rude. Not one time did I experience anything close to decent service. Last time I was in they refused to sell me items on display, claiming they were days old, yet on display in the same cabinet as other food items being sold? Some of the food items were great & reasonably priced...it was the consistent bad service that made me stop patronizing.
Great little spot right on adelaide street 1km north of commisioners road. 8 bucks for everything in my pic plus a can o pop. They do fresh buns and other goodies too. Only place around now for authentic perogies and without breaking the babk
