Let's just say this place is atrocious. Went in and was immediately met with a snarling cashier who clearly hates working here. They sent a flyer saying that it is 15% off if you bring it in. I had just left it on the bus accidentally and after ordering two New York pancake breakfasts I lived in Manhattan so I don't know what makes this "New York" at all besides the lousy service... Also I didn't realize that New York was in Europe... Hmm and two smoothies at 4.95 each, I told the cashier that I didn't have the flyer and she said NO with a grin and that she wouldn't give me the 15% off. Ok then, take away the two overpriced smoothies and the coffees and we'll call it even. No business sense whatsoever. Many people came after us who were served before our food came not to mention they messed up a just eat order whilst I was sat there. Finally the food arrived after the rest of the cafe was served... The food.. Runny eggs doesn't mean the thick layer of placenta is still swimming around the yolk... Sorry. The sausage was mystery meat was tough and disgusting. The bacon was decent and the free tap water was cold so that's a plus. If this place wishes to thrive, they need to put their business hat on and know that a small one time sacrifice is not worth losing over £15 on the total. Doesn't take a genius to figure this out. Oh and also they served the food without cutlery which I had to ask for and once again was met with the callous cashier who laughed in my face when she said she's gonna bring it over. Once she brought it after several minutes, she slammed the cutlery down on the table which caused our tap waters to get that Jurassic Park ripple effect. Not to mention when a customer asked if he could get the bread toasted, she shook her head and muttered something in her native language. All in all, poor service with lousy food and no business sense. Yuck, gross and they've lost a customer for life.
Lovely food and friendly staff .
I use this cafe! Every morning! The staff & food is great Shane - Alan - Alex - Nadeem & Mamma are all really good people! It is a pleasure to explain my 5 experience at the No 1 cafe in mortlake- I highly recommend Parking: Good Parking
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Euro Cafe is a trusty go to place for full breakfast at reasonable prices too.
A local gem of a greasy spoon. You get a proper brekkie at a great price. For the area, this is as value for money as you're going to get! Really friendly and fast serviceFood: 4/5
Can't understand why folks downgrade this place. Reasonably priced, great service and good food. What's not to likeFood: 4/5
Great cafe. Plenty of seating and a few tables outside. Good hearty food and a reasonable selection. And oay and display parking outside. Always a pleasure
A much needed pit stop on the way to a section of the London Capital Ring. It's a typical cafe, with standard breakfast and hot drinks. Exactly what was expected, and needed. They have some interesting décor, with old radios on the wall.
Great cafe on Sheen Lane just by Mortlake Station. I continue to come here and any food I've had has always been first class, either meat or fish or otherwise. I had a tuna salad which was freshly prepared and went down a treat. Plenty of choice here from trad food to good cuisine. Highly recommended. And it is still as good today. A tasty treat of traditional English cafe and continental if you prefer. Caters for everyone and is top drawer, from a quick snack to a full dinner.
Haven't been in here for years but got the urge for a weekend fry-up and there aren't many caffs like this left in the area, more's the pity. Went for the Kings Breakfast, which had eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns, tomato and black pudding, with toast and coffee - all for less than a tenner! Dived straight in and didn't take a picture, sorry! Well cooked and delicious. Would have preferred a more meaty sausage but still highly recommended for an old school 'greasy spoon' experience...
