This is one of the hubs for Edmonton transit. A well run and maintained garage. It is extremely clean and well run. Staff is friendly and pleasant. This is where the clean and maintain the buses used for public transit. They have some very impressive wash equipment to get the job done. Safety is of the utmost importance and understandably so. Overall well run and maintained.
I know Edmonton is a car city but the ETS got to be the worst public transit system of all the places I've lived at: limited intrastructure, long wait times, and the fact that you must pay with coins. It's been over a year and Arc cards still hasn't been rolled out to the general public...
The garage is at North West Edmonton Alberta, Canada. it is one of the facilities used by Edmonton transit garage and one of the best for me and to those who choose it as their workplace.
This review is not in regards to Mitchell garage in fact not at all. This is about Edmonton transit system in general. ETS is the worst transit system in all of North America. The new bus routes are complicated and the amount of areas that transit simply just does not travel to is overwhelming. I have had to turn down multiple good paying jobs because transit can't get me there. More times than not I have witnessed drivers belittle people who can't afford their fare. Maybe ETS is ignoring the fact we are in a nationwide crisis especially with corona and our economy. It's not fair to see the drivers be so rude to those who can't afford to travel, and it's their attitudes in general. Bus stops are way to far apart , and I should never have to wait more than 15 min for any bus going to any destination in Edmonton. Also shutting down your indoor transit centers during the cold snaps is not ok. I nearly froze while waiting for a bus a couple days ago. Recently I boarded the number 9 heading towards Northgate from downtown. As we the riders are traveling; the individual in the photo provided, literally starts smoking fentanyl right across from me. Another passenger contacted transit watch and as we reached Northgate station he was apprehended. However I watched the aftermath, ultimately was there no sterilization or clean-up done after removing the individual but subsequently transit started taking on new passengers immediately afterwards. For those who are unaware; with fentanyl specifically; it only takes the portion of a grain of salt to bring a grown adult to overdose. Why did transit officials not shut this bus down and have it cleaned. ETS not only risked the lives of anyone that sat in this seat afterwards, but also were very aggressive to this individual who obviously suffers from addiction. What the individual did was very wrong and yes in fact illegal; however it is the responsibility of ETS and all their employees to keep their passengers safe. Improve your services transit , we the people are what matters not just your employees and your union!!! Whoever makes and the plans the routes is an absolute idiot. Thank you google rant over.
My phone drop out of pocket when I stand up to get off the bus, back home 5 house distance to bus stop pole my bus pass stick on phone let me determine it was lost on bus. I get my phone back day after at downtown after report to ETS. Thank you to all ETS services & what I learn back politeness only on the bus
I don't know where you guys are getting your drivers recently but they're as bad as Uber drivers, slap on the 4-ways wherever last second and block traffic, suddenly pull out across lanes without a turn signal, and blow through red lights without any repercussion as the city just tosses out ETS tickets. I haven't taken ETS since the 90s when I was a teenager but the drivers were far better back then compared to what's going on now
Ruined the full schedule of the day. Worst ever and stinky buses.
Worst service in Canada this bus driver kept step on the gas letting off and gassing it making you jerk around in your seat. Also had drivers be ignorant to people trying to find a bus because they see it as NOT there problem. To top it all off Edmonton has been voted by Canada #1 worse transit Wow no surprise there.
Went to deliver sanitizer and paper stuffs, Lady at front her name is Teresa , she is too Rude. They should put the board outside !!Beware of Teresa!!
So why F the man got fine 500$. It's women's fault for attacking him. Who was the judge? Fire that judge now. He knows no justice at all. Shittiest cops ever too. Instead of taking on the druggie they are taking on the completely normal man. If a druggi did that to me, I wouldn't fight. I would have shot her.
