Erin Dental Care

I was referred to this Dental office because I was told that the dental hygienist was fabulous and very gentle. Myself and another patient both had very negative experiences previously so we were very nervous. After waiting 30 minutes after our appointment time, the other patient was seen by Ricky a hygienist that is not listed on their website, and that was not mentioned prior to our visit. Ricky did not inform the patient of what she was doing or how much pain would be involved in a routine cleaning. The cleaning was very invasive and aggressive, the inside of the patients lip was cut. When the patient could no longer take the pain, the patient swore and left the building. The dental assistant Sandra that was supposed to be assisting me then left me to follow the patient to the patients car. The patient was very agitated and asked the assistant to go back to the office. The patient did return after a cool down period and finished the cleaning with no further incident. My experience was a little bit different. I was very nervous, the dental assistant Sandra seemed more concerned about going home than actually talking to me. When she asked me which tooth was giving me problems she didn't even turn around to look at the one I was pointing to. Sandra did not take the time to fit the right mouth piece for my X-rays and jammed one that was too big into my mouth causing me a great deal of pain. She then had to do a second X-ray and used the smaller mouthpiece. She was very rude, abrupt and aloof. I was unable to go through with the procedure. The dentist was excellent (I can't remember his name and he is not listed on the website) He was very understanding and caring. I would recommend the dentist. When I called the next day to discuss what had happened, the secretary (Krista I believe) was very accusatory, very rude and would not listen to my side of the story. When I asked her to have the head dentist call me she said NO. I would not recommend this place for young children or patients who have had previous bad experiences. Like I said at the beginning, The other hygienists are apparently amazing. Krista seemed very nice until there was an issue. Krista has banned us from this office without allowing me to speak to the Dentist.

Being a clinic you never know which dentist you will get and seems to be a revolving door if mixed talent.... some good.... some not

I found that the team are all equally efficient and compassionate and all work very well together as team, I would definitely highly recommend this dental office

Dr Shieh has been my dentist since I moved into the neighbourhood 13 years ago. I have been very happy with his professional approach to taking care of my teeth. My family also comes here and his staff is very friendly. Two thumbs up!
