Finally had a chance to check out EMPIRE and while the rooftop was full we had a pleasant experience inside in this spacious space. Service was great and helpful! The pretzel bun from my custom order burger was memorable and complimented the sandwich well. Tried the homemade buffalo chips and they were just ok. Drinks were refreshing and the drink menu was expansive - refreshing and strong. Great place for a larger group as well as couples.
Went around 5 on a Saturday and got a seat on the rooftop. Our server was excellent, food came out fast. Burgers were good. Menu is mainly burgers and a few sandwiches. Kids menu has standard kids items. The Sophia Loren was my favorite burger. I tried the Hey Mango drink. It was good but I would try something else next time.
We hoped to be placed on the roof top but there was more than a hour waiting so we had diner inside. The place is still very nice inside too. Excellent choice of beers and burgers. The service was really warm and friendly. We enjoy our diner here. And the music inside was definitely a plus to give a rock atmosphere to it.
Appetizer was very good. Subtly sweet with the honey on top over the crunchy wonton shell. Really great if you're into cheese as it was the star of the show. The burger really lived up to its name, The G.O.A.T. The goat cheese paired with the honey was a perfect balance and they did a good job cooking my burger to order. Fries were just okay, nothing to brag about.
Lovely place. Interesting interiors with the slanted steel structure and old brick walls. The rooftop patio is lovely. Had the Jane burger., it is good, had better though, but the French Fries are delicious. The patio Hostess is ride, but our server was really nice and did a great job taking care of us. The 3 starts because of the Hostess attitude.
I’ve been here a couple of times and find it good but not great. There’s only a few true burger choices. They do know how to deliver medium rare, which is good. It has a wonderful location on the river and seems to be a very fun bar setting, but if you’re looking for a great burger I’d go elsewhere.
This is my first time at Empire Burger and it definitely will not be my last! I wish I had gone during the warm summer months because I decided to be on their enclosed rooftop. It actually wasn't that bad but the day I went it was very windy so there was definitely a little draft through the doors. Overall the atmosphere is great. The burger that I got is called a Key West burger with fries. It is a turkey burger with onions, maple bourbon glaze and pineapple. The maple bourbon glaze was truly extra! It definitely brought out a different taste than I've had before. The drinks that I got sorry, there are no pictures was a whiskey sour cocktail and a FEW cider ale's on tap. Also, from the hostess all the way to our waitress were extremely phenomenal people. They were very polite they were always asking if we wanted more to drink or we wanted something else to eat. So I truly give there service 2 thumbs up. The friend that I went with today said that they have live bands I guess on certain nights. So this will not be my last time coming here. Parking: It's in Downtown Naperville so close parking is hard to get. The good thing is, there is a riverwalk parking lot just 2 minutes walk from the restaurant and its free.
Food was great! The burgers were recommended and I understand why. Prices were very reasonable for a downtown Naperville restaurant. Our server was very good too. Only downside was we sat upstairs and that Sun room was HOT. But wasn’t bad enough to effect my review, will definitely be back!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
Absolutely delicious burgers! We were very pleased with their prompt and courteous service and cleanliness of this restaurant. We had craft beer and their selection is vast. There’s two floors where to sit, the bottom seems cozy and bigger. The rooftop closed in seems to have less seating but it’s not cramped, it’s comfy. There is outdoor rooftop seating, but it’s winter so not available. Had the G.O.A.T burger, I always have my burgers medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The combination of the goat cheese with the honey and bacon were mind blowing! All their burgers have unique names with Jane being a basic burger that can be built up. Highly recommend Empire Burgers and Brew. *They do not take reservations and it’s a first come first serve basis on seating. It’s definitely family friendly and have free Wi-Fi.
Such a cool place. I love the urban vibe and decor. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. The menu is very burger bar themed. I do wish as a vegetarian they wouldn’t fry the French fries in beef fat. Other than that, they have many vegetarian/vegan substitutes which I really appreciate. The bartender was so sweet as well. She was attentive but did not hover and was able to explain the menu to me to fit my plant based needs. Also, the drinks are amazing there! I had a classic mimosa and a the “Ellen Burger” w/o guac. So amazing! It was the best burger I’ve ever had!
