My nephew rented the Pavilion Lodge. I arrived early to help with set up. The door was unlocked and I was happy to find a large, clean space that was perfect for our needs for the day. The available refrigerator and stove were clean and in working order. As were both restrooms. The fireplace would have nice, if it hadnt been an 80 degree day. The cost for the day was reasonable as compared to other sites that he looked into for this event. There was a play ground nearby, hiking trails just steps away. The only bad thing I noticed was a musty odor when I first arrived. I opened the windows and the breeze took most of it away. That is to be expected in a building that is closed up most of time.

Great place for a walk or a hike. There are some surprisingly large hills and wooded areas worth checking out. I typically go for the Frisbee golf. They do a good job maintaining the course, but it can be wet at times. if you are going for Frisbee golf, avoid Tuesdays, those are league nights and it gets very crowded.

Herds of deer..beaver..mink. Fox. Hawks. Song birds. Shelters bbq areas. Trails. Doggie Park no leash area. Streams wildlife and nature. Cranes. Blue Herrings . Massive wing spans. Snakes that grow huge and rabbits and my dog Jake and myself saw monster turtles too big to lift crossing from the wetlands to the creek... Historic land where the British and French and America frontiersmen as well as famous politicians played out the evolution of our great country !!! The lost city of Tyron holds many secrets to this day as trade and commerce was brisk and the St. Lawrence seaway opened new opportunities with the Locks and shipping lanes growing. The great sea Salon travel by the St. L seaway to lake Ontario and up the Creek in the park systems to spawn and be caught by amazing fishing as the streams are also.stocked. so paddle up the creek or bike it too w many.trails and boyscout activities .

Went during the day for work.. weren't may people there at all. The grass was high but was being cut. Wasn't there for very long but seems like a great park to explore with some time. There were a lot of very steep hills, so I'd suggest proper foot attire and water to stay hydrated if you're going to go hiking.

Beautiful park. Careful going after a big rain though, as it floods easily. Best hill for sledding in the winter!
