I seem to have stumped the Cornell Cooperative Extension with my tree problem. Although that doesn't in itself reflect badly on them, and their expertise is well-known, their failure to respond is another matter.
On June 30th, I went to their St. Paul Street campus, met their receptionist, filled out an intake form, paid the $20 fee, and submitted a branch from an ailing tree as they had requested. After warning me that it might take as long as ten working days to respond, they have let a month and five days go by without sending me a response to my problem. My frequent calls to them have been met with call-back-later instead of please-leave-a-message.
