Wonderful food but what made the dinning experience better was the service. Our Waitress was friendly and very attentive to our table. We had the Carnitas Street Tacos, Adobada Street Tacos, Chicken Fajitas, and Vegetarian Tostada. All of the food even the vegetarian dish was delicious. If I had to pick a favorite though I would say the Adobada Street Tacos would be it. Drop in for a shot of Tequila They have a large selection and get the Street Tacos to round out the experience or try something you never had before. Here's to new food adventures. Vegetarian options: There were several vegetarian options on the menu Kid-friendliness: We sat outside and there were several family's with a wide range of ages within the restaurant
HORRIBLE!!! Vegan food?!? What a joke! Oscar, the owner/manager/cook took zero responsibility and refused to come address his TWO time mistake on my dish. They literally have a vegan section on their menu and sent out my food covered in cojita cheese. Upon "remaking" it, they scraped the cheese and lettuce off and put new lettuce on. As I went to eat it the 2ND time there was still cheese all over the dish. It took 45 minutes for me to get a vegan dish actually made VEGAN! When I asked the server to send out the manager, she looked scared to even have to ask him to speak to me. Job scared! I'm guessing he is an unpleasant person to work for. Oscar refused to come out after I waited 15 mins to speak to him. Charging a customer for your twice messed up dish is unacceptable!... It's horrible business practice and quite cowardly. The server was very sweet and I wish I could say the food was good, but they messed it up and left a sour taste in my mouth. Don't offer vegan food as a section on your menu if you can't cook it correctly and correctly fix errors when you blatantly mess it up. Shame on you Oscar.
Really enjoyed visiting this place on our pit stop to Seattle. I loved the salsa, but it did bring a lot of heat I personally love. Also had the molcajete which was a great flavor and very palatable. It was a HUGE dish and worth the cost. I also had 2 Hybiscus margaritas which were the best flavored ones I've had yet. Tasted like Jaimaca juice. I definitely will come back to try some dishes I haven't seen on menus before. Our servers were also fantastic.
Really underwhelming. Bought the Birria tacos and chicken tortilla soup to go. The tacos had nearly no flavor although they looked good. The tortilla strips were not put on the side for my soup therefore were soggy, but in general the soup was very unappetizing. Disappointing meal, would not return.
So awesome that they have an entire vegan section of the menu! We got the fajitas and sopes- both delicious. If you want vegan rice and beans you just have to ask for the black beans instead of refried.
Super delicious and definitely not like the rest of the Mexican restaurants in Ellensburg! The salsa has a good kick and the beans taste homemade! We had the Asada burrito and cheese enchiladas, so good! My husband said, "this is our new Mexican place"... I agree!
House-made thick, red salsa on chips is spicy delicious. Next is artfully prepared foods like hand made corn tortillas and side sauces that you’ll want to bring home and share with Mom. Be adventurous and try the Nopales a la Parilla vegan with cactus, or Pollo Adobo - the molé sauce is memorable. Service from Anneliese is tops. Check out the tequila menu too. Will be back soon!
I stopped in with family while visiting. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the Molcajete. The soup base was thick and very hardy, extremely satisfying with the variety of shrimp, beef, chicken, etc. The dish was assembled with a meticulous attention to detail. I especially like the native basis of the menu. For example cactus features in several dishes. But it is not just limited to some novel ingredients. The food here really has its own palette, a very satisfying one in my opinion. It's very unique. It creates a dining experience you're not going to get almost anywhere else. Overall this is one of the best meals out I've had in the past year or so. This place is special Ellensburg. Do your best to support them.
We went for a family birthday celebration dinner. Food and service were amazing!!! Our waiter, Luke, answered all our menu questions patiently and made good recommendations. The chili rellenos and shrimp were some of the best I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is fun but quiet enough that you can actually have a dinner conversation with the people you came with, which is important! We will definitely return and we highly recommend this place.
Ohhhh man! Check out the amazing presentation. Food is absolutely delicious as well. Spicy, authentic, and seasoned so well. It took the same amount of time for our lunch to come out as it does when my mom is cooking her homemade Sonoran style Mexican food. Came here off of recommendation from another reviewer! I’m so glad I did. Enjoy!
