Elkhorn Hot Springs

This place is absolutely awesome. It's old, rustic, out of the way, off the beaten path, and out in the middle of the rugged Pioneer Mountains. Stay in the lodge or stay in a cabin - you won't be disappointed. The hot springs are hot and don't stink like sulfer. The food is good, too. Although they don't serve hard alcohol, you can buy beer at the lodge or at the pool (or bring your own). I have been going here for years and I hope its Owners never succumb to modernists who own and messed up every other hot springs in Montana.

Quaint getaway with great hot springs. Cross country skiing on site, and downhill skiing at Maverick mountain just three miles away. The lodge has good food and a great beer selection. Definitely nothing fancy, but a great place to be in the winter when the snow is thick.

Wonderful place for a weekend getaway anytime of the year. I especially enjoy winter here. The cabins are rustic, but very clean and cozy, the rustic aspect adds to the ambiance of the whole location. Hotsprings are wonderfully, big pool is perfect for laps, about 95 degrees, which is good even on the coldest snowiest days, the little pool is 101, which is great for a soak, and the inside wet sauna is awesome for sore muscles. The lodge offers wonderful food, I recommend thee prime rib on Saturday nights. Both the pool and the lodge offer free WiFi. I'd you stay in the cabins swimming and breakfast are included which really makes it a good deal for the family.

We stayed in the rustic buffalo cabin. The bed was comfortable. We had a wood stove and made our own fire. The room was cozy and simple. The pool had a good selection of beer. The sauna was 108 degrees! The outdoor pools are large and minimal visitors while we were here. Breakfast was included with the room. French toast, eggs, potatoes, fruit, muffins and drinks. Pleasant stay! Will come again.

Great staff, so friendly. Yummy breakfast, comfy bed and very cute cabins. We stayed in the Bear Paw, it has one room and a loft with two beds, a bathroom, and a inviting back porch. A short walk to the hot springs and your problems will melt away.
