Elkhorn Campgrounds

$30 a night! Elkhorn Campgrounds has just been opened to the public for camping from April 20 to Oct 30. In the past it was only open for an annual fair and for large RV clubs or camping groups that wanted the entire facility. Things have changed. You can make reservations online on their website. It doesn't have a pool or putt putt course, but it has what most people want and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than most higher amenity parks. We paid $30 a night and included electric and water hook up. Dump stations on property. The wooded area has 167 sites and the open areas have another 350 or so. It's clean and quiet. It's on a fairgrounds but you would never know it. Quaint feeling.
